Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the most frequent histological type of thyroid carcinoma. Although an increasing number of diagnostic methods have recently been developed, the diagnosis of a few nodules is still unsatisfactory. Therefore, the present study aimed to develop and validate a comprehensive prediction model to optimize the diagnosis of PTC.

Intrachromosomal triplications (TRP) can contribute to disease etiology via gene dosage effects, gene disruption, position effects, or fusion gene formation. Recently, post-zygotic de novo triplications adjacent to copynumber neutral genomic intervals with runs of homozygosity (ROH) have been shown to result in uniparental isodisomy (UPD).

Maternal effect mutations in the components of the subcortical maternal complex (SCMC) of the human oocyte can cause early embryonic failure, gestational abnormalities and recurrent pregnancy loss. Enigmatically, they are also associated with DNA methylation abnormalities at imprinted genes in conceptuses.

A nanoarray structure was constructed on the quartz glass cover surface, which had both strong dust removal ability and significant anti-reflection. Firstly, a structure model of dust removal nanoarray was established to investigate the effects of the structural parameters such as the period, the depth, and the duty ratio.

For dichotomous traits, the generalized disequilibrium test with the moment estimate of the variance (GDT-ME) is a powerful family-based association method. Genomic imprinting is an important epigenetic phenomenon and currently, there has been increasing interest of incorporating imprinting to improve the test power of association analysis.

Ketoprofen (KET) is an active pharmaceutical compound that has pain relieving and antipyretic effects. Its determination in body fluids and environmental waters is important due to widespread use of the compound. In this study, a selective and reliable method has been developed for the determination of ketoprofen in water and artificial serum using molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) as a solid phase extraction sorbent prior to HPLC-DAD detection.

Photopolymerization kinetics of doxycycline hyclate (DOX)-imprinted hydrogels were monitored by real-time Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and differential photocalorimetry. 2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate-based hydrogels were synthesized by using ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as a cross-linker, acrylic acid (AA) as a functional monomer, and 2,2-dimethyl-2-hydroxy acetophenone as a photoinitiator. For imprinting DOX in hydrogels, the molar ratio of template to functional monomer (DOX:AA) was chosen as 1:8 and 1:16. The polymerization was achieved at two different initiator concentrations.

A powerful parent-of-origin effects test for qualitative traits on X chromosome in general pedigrees
Genomic imprinting is one of the well-known epigenetic factors causing the association between traits and genes, and has generally been examined by detecting parent-of-origin effects of alleles. A lot of methods have been proposed to test for parent-of-origin effects on autosomes based on nuclear families and general pedigrees.

In angiosperms, the endosperm plays a crucial placenta-like role in that not only is it necessary for nurturing the embryo, but also regulating embryogenesis through complicated genetic and epigenetic interactions with other seed compartments and is the primary tissue in which genomic imprinting occurs.
