  • Identification of protein-protein interactions (PPIs) is crucial for understanding biological processes and investigating the cellular functions of genes. Self-interacting proteins (SIPs) are those in which more than two identical proteins can interact with each other and they are the specific type of PPIs.

  • Oil price volatility is argued to be one of the incentives behind the rising prominence of renewable energy as a strategy to minimize oil dependence. Therefore, this study seeks to examine the impact of oil price volatility on renewable energy consumption in Nigeria from 1986-2017. A Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) was employed to achieve this objective. The variables were confirmed to exhibit a long run association. A unidirectional causality was also observed running from renewable energy consumption to oil price volatility.

  • The crude oil price fluctuation investigation is to explore the impact of crude oil price shocks on the countries’ economic growth. The Vector Autoregressive Model (VAR) was applied and the variance decomposition is to analyze the impact of the GDP growth due to the shock of the crude oil price.

  • Many intermediaries and concentration of vegetable trade in the hands of middlemen have resulted in exploitation of growers and consumers. This experiment examines various aspects of integration in selected regulated wholesale markets for vegetables at South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. These regulated markets were established to improve the marketing efficiency. Johansen test was used to find out the integration of markets.

  • The aim of the study is to find the empirical analyses of the impact of oil price fluctuation on the monetary instrument in Nigeria, by looking at their relationships. Specifically, we analyzed the role of Exchange rate, Inflation, Interest rate and how they respond to shocks in oil price. We explored the frequently used Toda–Yamamoto model (TY), by adopting the TY modified Wald (MWALD) test approach to causality, forecast error variance decomposition (FEVD) and impulse response functions (IRFs).

  • The panel vector auto regression model is estimated using three main variables related to with profitability, financial liquidity, and financial leverage for 94 manufacturing companies from 2000 to 2017 in Indonesia. The aim is to examine the impact of oil price shocks on the ROA (profitability), CR (financial liquidity), and DER (financial leverage). The impulse reaction function of samples reveals some remarkable results. First, the response of ROA, DER, and CR appears to be consistent in many ways. Second, either Brent oil or WTI oil gives the same result for these variables.

  • The United State of America has been experiencing high debt to GDP ratio of more than 100% and these Public debts are detrimental. The main purpose of this study was to examine the shocks of the variables on others in the USA economy by using quarterly data. The variance decomposition and the Generalised Impulse Response Function techniques were employed to analyse the data. The result revealed that high variation of shocks in real federal debt is explained by their own innovations in the short run, by CPI followed by real federal debt its self.

  • Neuropeptides (protein molecules) are synthesised in the neurons, helps to communicate the impulse from the stimulant to the receptor. Neuropeptides are responsible for regulating a various physiological functions including development, metabolism, water and ion homeostasis, and as neuromodulators in circuits of the central nervous system. Neuropeptides are different from neurotransmitters because, former releases in the haemolymph and the later releases in the neuro-neuro junction or in the neuro-muscular junction.

  • This report illustrates a Parkinson’s disease (PD) patient with impulse-control disorder (ICD) and selective impairment in response-inhibition abilities as revealed by the performance in a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) anterior cingulate cortex - sensitive GO-NOGO task. In line with hypothesis on the role of response-inhibition disabilities in the arising of impulsivity in PD, the patient completely failed the GO-NOGO task.

  • The purpose of the paper is to econometrically exploit the characteristics of unemployment in Serbia upon the start of the 2008 economic crisis. The methodological framework is based on the cointegrated vector autoregressive model that consists of the following macroeconomic variables: unemployment rate, prices, nominal wages and nominal exchange rate.

The stochastic growth model is a stochastic version of the neoclassical growth model with microfoundations,1 and provides the backbone of a lot of macroeconomic models that are used in modern macroeconomic research. The most popular way to solve the stochastic growth model, is to linearize the model around a steady state,2 and to solve the linearized model with the method of undetermined coefficients. This solution method is due to Campbell (1994)....
