In this study, we describe case report of 70-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of abdominal pain over 6 months with no pathological antecedent. Abdominal ultrasound (US) reveal a omental solid mass in left lumbar region, and on CT scan show a solid mass in left lumbar region in front of the descending colon, maesuring around 50x87x133mm with well-circumscribed, slight enhance with intravenous contrast, no hemmorrage or necrosis area, no calcification and not clearly separated from small-bowel.

Hospital-acquired infection (HAI) is a growing problem all around the world particularly for countries with aging and high-density population such as Vietnam. In this review, we summarized the current status of HAIs in Vietnam regarding types of infection, rates of infection, hospital-stay duration and cost of treatment, and provided an overview with suggestions on strategies in combating these infections especially in Vietnamese settings. From quite dispersed and varied data reported in English and Vietnamese, we have seen HAI rates of less than 10%.

A Study on HIV/TB Co-infection in and Around Khammam, Telangana Tuberculosis is the most common opportunistic infection and the major cause of death in HIV positive patients. In India, the incidence of TB is about 40% in general population and about 25- 30% extra cases are due to HIV infection. To study the demographical and clinical factors associated among HIV/TB co-infected patients in and around Khammam. Extended spectrum β-lactamases are often plasmid mediated and derived from mutations in bla-TEM, bla-SHV, bla-CTX-M, and bla-AmpC genes by one or more amino acid substitution around the active site. These genes are responsible for resistance to beta lactams in Pseudomonas aeruginosa. In this study, Pseudomonas aeruginosa were isolated from wound and burn infection patients admitted to Diwanyia Teaching Hospital.

Prevalence study was conducted during the period from July 201 to June 2015, on 391 clinical cases of dogs presented at Referral Veterinary Hospital F. V. Sc & A.H R. S. Pura Jammu. The overall prevalance of dermatitis was 24.55 per cent (96/391) The prevalence of parasitic dermatitis was found to be 35.41 per cent with maximum prevalence recorded in July (42.55 %). Dogs less than one year of age were found to be more susceptible to canine parasitic dermatitis.

Influenza A (H1N1) is a disease of major public health concern of high mortality. India has reported 27,236 lab confirmed cases with 981 deaths in 2009 pandemic, followed by outbreaks in 2015 and 2016. The most recent outbreak in 2017 reported around 1094 deaths. Hence this study was carried out in patients admitted with influenza-like illness (ILI Category C) to identify the risk factors associated with the disease. Retrospective study was conducted among patients admitted in Stanley Medical College with ILI (Cat C) between January 2017 and June 2017.
