The collar rot caused by Sclerotium rolfsii is an important fungal pathogen in chickpea root disease complex causing serious losses. In the present study, efforts were made to prepare and test the bioefficacy of eight solid formulations and three liquid formulations against chickpea collar rot (In vitro and In vivo). The results indicated that, among all the eight solid substrates used, talc powder formulation was found to be the best carrier material to retain and support maximum propagules of Trichoderma compared to the remaining carriers.

The bioefficacy of antagonist and botanical extract were tested in vitro against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ricini causing wilt of castor. Trichoderma harzianum (72.22%), T. viride (70.37%) and Pseudomonas fluorescens appeared potent antagonist against Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ricini followed by T. faciculatum, T. longibrachyatum and Bacillus subtilis. Among the botanical, the extract of turmeric rhizome was effective in inhibiting mycelial growth 42.22 Per cent followed by 36.67 per cent inhibition by leaves extract of marigold.

Bacterial leaf blight of rice, caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae is not only a problem in India but also worldwide. Management using chemicals is undoubtedly quick in action, restricting the severity and spread of the disease. Both in vitro and in vivo studies were conducted to investigate the inhibitory potential of different chemicals against the bacterial pathogen.

In present investigation, the bioefficacy of aqueous and methanolic leaf extracts of Ocimum sanctum were tested to evaluate their toxic effects at different concentration (10.00, 7.50, 5.00, 2.50, 2.00, 1.50, 1.00 and 0.50 percent) against mixed population of Tetranychus urticae on tomato during 2018 under in vitro conditions. T. urticae responded to the mite in a concentration dependent manner i.e. lowest number of live mites and highest mortality in population was obtained with highest concentration tested (10.0%).

Antifungal activity of essential oils needs to be appreciated in the management of plant diseases for their biodegradable, economical and ecofriendly nature. Anthracnose of banana is caused by Colletotrichum musae and is one of the most serious diseases of ripe banana. Present investigation was carried out during 2016 in department of plant pathology, UAS, Dharwad aimed on ecofriendly management of banana anthracnose by essential oils in vitro as well as in vivo.

Stem bleeding disease caused by Thielaviopsis paradoxa is one of the major diseases of coconut in almost all the coconut growing regions of Andhra Pradesh. Bioefficacy of native bioagents viz., Trichoderma spp and Pseudomonas fluroscens on stem bleeding pathogen Thielaviopsis paradoxa under in vitro conditions revealed that all the three isolated native Trichoderma spp were found inhibitory to the mycelia growth of Thielaviopsis paradoxa on Potato Dexose Agar media.

The citrus nematode, Tylenchulus semipenetrans is known to occur in all citrus growing regions. The nematode feeds upon cortical cells and results in thicker roots than normal. The nematode caused yellowing of leaves and early fruit drop. A random survey was conducted in major citrus growing regions of Tamil Nadu to isolate the endophytes from the roots of acid lime (Citrus auruntifolium) and test the efficacy against citrus nematode, T.semipenetrans.

Stem bleeding disease caused by Thielaviopsis paradoxa is one of the major diseases of coconut in almost all the coconut growing regions of Karnataaka. Bioefficacy of five botanicals viz. Allium sativa, Nerium olender, Tinospora cordifolia, Osimum sanctum and Aegle marmelos, Seven isolates namely Trichoderma viridae (GKVK), Trichoderma harzianum (GKVK), Trichoderma asperillum (GKVK), Trichoderma harzianum (HRS, NBAII, KRN and MYS) and ten systemic and three contact fungicides were evaluated under in vitro conditions against Thielviopsis paradoxa.
