This study reported on micro propagation protocol for in-vitro propagation of B. balcooa through axillary shoot. This is useful for land reclamation through bamboo plantation and help for rural economy and livelihood promotion.

Momordica cymbalaria Fenzl. is a perennial herbaceous climber belongs to cucurbitaceae family and the genus of bitter gourd (Momordica charantia). Fruits are used as vegetables, it possess hypoglycaemic, hypolipidemic, cardio protective, hepatoprotective, nephroprotective and antioxidant properties. It is rich in crude fiber (6.42 g/100 g), calcium (72 g/100g), potassium, sodium and vitamin C (290 g/100g).The major constraints in propagation of Momordica cymbalaria are non-availability of standardized propagation methods and low yield.

V. jatamansi Jones is an important medicinal wild herb of North Eastern Himalayan Region belonging to family Valerianaceae. The herb is widely used in treatment of leprosy, epilepsy, hysteria and asthma and also in making perfumed powder. Due to overexploitation of roots and rhizomes, V. jatamansi is included in endangered species as per National Medicinal Plant Board, New Delhi, India. The harvest of roots and rhizomes causes destruction of whole plant at its natural habitat.

An effective protocol for in vitro proliferation and multiplication of Gerbera cv. Partrizia was established during 2015-17. Among the two stages initially used for culture initiation, capitulum explants cultured at immature stage responded better than the mature stage. Best establishment of immature capitulum explants and more number of quality shoots was obtained on modified MS medium supplemented with 10 mg/l BAP and 1 mg/l IAA. Half strength MS medium containing NAA (0.5 mg/l) + IBA (0.5 mg/l) was best for root induction.

An efficient reproducible protocol for the in vitro multiplication of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.), an important vegetable crop, was developed from nodal explants. Addition of casein hydrolysate to the shoot induction medium (MS + BA) significantly enhanced the number of multiple shoots or growth of the regenerants.

The present study develops a protocol for rapid in vitro micropropagation of a critically endangered and floriculturally most important epiphytic orchid, Dendrobium primulinum Lindl. through the culture of small shoot tip explants (0.3 to 0.5mm) derived from in vitro grown seedlings. The shoot tip explants cultured on solidified Murashige and Skoog (MS) basal medium and MS medium alone or supplemented with combination of various concentrations of growth regulators; α-naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) and 6 benzylaminopurine (BAP), produced shoots and multiple shoots.

The RAPD profile of the regenerated plants showed similar banding patterns to that of the mother plant thus demonstrating the homogeneity of the micropropagated plants. This protocol could be successfully used for the mass multiplication and germplasm conservation of this medicinal plant.
