Field pea is a legume most commonly consumed all over the world and is very popular in the vegetarian diets because of high levels of amino acids, lysine and tryptophan presence in it as compared to cereals. A field experiment was carried out in Inceptisols of Midland AICRPDA, during rabi 2020-21 in Instructional cum Research Farm, S.G. College of Agriculture and Research Station, I.G.K.V., Kumhrawand, Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, India lies at 19°5'17.79"N latitude and 81°57'44.99"E longitude with an altitude of 552 meters above mean sea level. The experiment consists of five treatments viz.

The information on influence of organic and inorganic sources of nutrientson NPK content and uptake by Tikhur is meager. Hence a field investigation was initiated to evaluate the influence of organic and inorganic sources of nutrients on NPK content and uptake by Tikhur (Curcuma aungustifolia Roxb.) in Inceptisols of Chhattisgarh plateau.

Soil Samples are collected for Phosphorus Adsorption behavior from three representative soils of Chhattisgarh which belong to the Inceptisol, Alfisol and Vertisol. Two adsorption equation viz., Langmuir and Freundlich were used to describe P adsorption behavior. The P adsorption at the solid phase was strongly related to its concentration in the solution phase and Vertisol with maximum clay content recorded highest P adsorption at a given equilibrium P concentration indicating that P ions are most tightly held by Vertisol.

The investigation was under taken during kharif and rabi season 2017-18 at Shaheed Gundadhur College of Agriculture and Research Station, Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh). The pot experiment, during kharif season with transplanted rice, was laid out under Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three replications and 11 treatments comprised with keeping one treatment of application of all nutrients (N, P, K, S, Ca, Mg, Cu, Zn, B, and Mo) in optimum level and other treatments were formulated by sequentially omitting each nutrient from all nutrients applied.

Two pot experiment was conducted at Instructional Farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Raigarh (C.G.) during Kharif season, 2015 for identification of yield limiting nutrients through crop response in Vertisol and Inceptisol of Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh with rice (MTU-1010) as test crop. The experiments were laid out in Completely Randomized Design with 11 treatments and 3 replications. Yield attributing characters viz. effective tillers, filled grains panicle-1 and grain and straw yields of rice in both soil types were significantly influenced by nutrient omission treatments.

A field experiment was conducted during kharif 2012 in Inceptisols of Northern hills zone of Chhattisgarh to estimate the nutritional requirement, efficiencies of fertilizer, soil test and organic source (FYM) to estimate the fertilizer requirement for varying yield goals of maize crop based on soil test levels using INM approach. Maize crop required 1.59 kg N, 0.32 kg P and 1.84 kg K for one quintal grain production. Fertilizer and soil test efficiencies estimated were 41.84 and 22.53 percent, respectively for N, 28.28 and 52.67 percent, respectively for P and 140.33 and 26.

Soil test crop response correlation study was carried out in midland inceptisols of Bastar plateau zone of Chhattisgarh (India) during 2012-13 taking potato (kufri pukhraj) as test crop to quantify production in the context of the variability of soil properties and recommendation of balanced fertilizers with organic manure based on targeted yield concept. The basic data required for formulation of fertilizer recommendation is derived from this experiment. Nutrient required to produce one quintal of potato tuber was found to be 0.48 kg N, 0.11 kg P and 0.52 kg K, respectively.

Soil acidification is caused by a number of factors including acidic precipitation and the deposition from the atmosphere of acidifying gases or particles, such as sulphur dioxide, ammonia and nitric acid. The most important causes of soil acidification on agricultural land, however, are the application of ammonium‐based fertilizers and urea, elemental S fertilizer and the growth of legumes. Soil samples were collected over a period of 2017-2018 from the entire block, to study physico-chemical parameters of three seasons.
