Microwave absorbing materials (MAMs) are essential materials for mitigating the bad effects of electromagnetic interference and microwave pollution. SrFe12-2xCux/2Cox/2TixO19 samples showed their superior microwave absorption performances in both reflection loss and effective absorption bandwidth (EAB) values for the normal incident angle of the microwave. Between these parameters, EAB values expressed how large a frequency the MAM could be used for practical applications.

BornAgain is a free and open-source multi-platform software framework for simulating and fitting X-ray and neutron reflectometry, off-specular scattering, and grazing-incidence small-angle scattering (GISAS). Herein, the design and simulation of graphene/InP thin film solar cells with a novel periodic array of nanorods and plasmonic back-reflectors of the nano-semi sphere was proposed. In this structure, a single-layer of the graphene sheet was placed on the vertical nanorods of InP to form a Schottky junction. The electromagnetic field was determined using solving three-dimensional Maxwell’s equations discretized by the finite difference method (FDM). The enhancement of light trapping in the absorbing layer was illustrated, thereby increasing the short circuit current to a maximum value of 31.

Microwave remote sensing or SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) data has been employed extensively to map open water bodies and to monitor flood extents, where cloud cover often prohibits the use of satellite sensors operating at other wavelengths. Where total inundation occurs, a low backscatter return is expected due to the specular reflection of SAR signal on the water surface. However, low local incidence angle and wind induced waves can cause a roughening of the water surface which result in a high return signal.
