Employing an interpretive research design with post-positivist paradigm, it was conducted in Kebon Agung Sugar Factory, Malang. The research informants were selected using snowballing technique. The informants include farmers and chairmen of farmers groups, plantation staff, company employees, and government agencies. To maintain the continuity and loyalty of sugarcane farmers to the company, the sugar factories provide various facilities, such as credit, inputs, guidance and counseling as well as technological assistance, and market guarantees for the products produced.

Ebook "Lignocellulosic composite materials" comprehensively summarizes important aspects of research in the active field of lignocellulosic (polymer) composites, including polymer materials from or containing cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. It describes how these materials can be produced from forest products and natural fibers from sources such as jute, flax, sisal, and many more, and even from agricultural residues (like wheat straw, corn stover, or sugarcane bagasse).

SQUAMOSA promoter binding proteins (SBPs) genes encode a family of plant-specific transcription factors involved in various growth and development processes, including flower and fruit development, leaf initiation, phase transition, and embryonic development. The SBP gene family has been identified and characterized in many species, but no systematic analysis of the SBP gene family has been carried out in sugarcane.

The process of thermal decomposition of sugarcane biomass consists of 4 stages. On that basis, the research conducted the pyrolysis of sugarcane biomass to collect liquid products at different temperature stages and they were analyzed by GC-MS method to determine the chemical composition. Chemical composition of pyrolysis oil through thermal decomposition of sugarcane biomass was elucidated in this paper.

This study analyzed Baker‟s yeast efficiency based upon its ability of growth on various agro-industrial wastes that act as the carbon source with an addition of nitrogen supplement at various growth parameters. Various locally available carbon sources including molasses, fruit bagasse juice, sugarcane bagasse juice and whey were used with inorganic as well as organic supplementation of corn steep liquor at a concentration of 50g/L. Increased productivity in case of the lab isolate was observed upon the use of organic supplementation @16.16%.

The Oyster mushroom (Pleurotus cystidiosus) was cultivated on different agrowastes as substrates such as; sugarcane bagasse (ScB), rice straw (RS), and wheat straw (WS), whereas the fourth formula composed of combination of these three substrates in a proportion of 1: 1. The ScB, RS and WS agro-wastes substrates were selected as the most favorable lignocellulosic sources. P. cystidiosus can efficiently degrade the agro-wastes and grow at wide range of temperatures.

Cultivated sugarcane (Saccharum spp. complex, 2n = 80-120) belongs to the genus Saccharum of the family Poaceae. Sugarcane (Saccharum spp. complex) is an important cash crop of the tropical and subtropical regions of the world for its distinct characteristic of high sugar concentration accumulated in the stalk. Genetic diversity gives species the ability to adapt to changing environments, including new pests and diseases and new climatic conditions.

Sugarcane is (Saccharum officinarum L.) is one of the most important commercial crops of the world, including region where water availability is limited or highly inconsistent. Abiotic stresses may decline in potential yield of crop plants by 70 %. In sugarcane numerous environmental factors can have negative effects on the increase in expansion of production and salinity stress is one of the most limiting abiotic factors affecting sugarcane productivity.

DNA fingerprinting, estimation of molecular genetic diversity, marker assisted breeding and molecular diagnostic tools are the need of the hour for sugarcane crop improvement. Efficient extraction of genomic DNA (gDNA) free from polysaccharides, polyphenols, RNA and other major contaminants is a key to all these molecular activities. We present herewith, a modified DNA extraction protocol that has been optimized for isolating gDNA from endergonic and hardy sugarcane plant and its phytopathogens and endophytic fungi.
