Creating credit is the main income-generating activity for banks. However, granting credit always comes with risks. Credit risk is the risk of losing part or all of a debt due to failure to pay on time or default. Credit risk is considered the most important risk affecting banking performance.

The article aimed to find out the main factors affecting trade finance activities in order to give out reasonable measures to enhance the activities, which generate “fee income” - the majority of non-interest income for the bank. By the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) method, the results showed that the diversification of services, especially UPAS L/C, has had the greatest positive impact on promoting trade finance.

The present study was conducted in Rewari and Khol block of Rewari district Haryana, with the objective to know the socio-economic status of SHG members. The data on socioeconomic variables were collected from 90 respondents drawn from 30 SHGs. The study revealed that almost all the members were land less and found to belong to middle age group (35-46 years), married, practicing dairy as major occupation, small herd size and belonging to low income group.

This paper aimed at measuring the recreation benefits obtained by tourists visiting the Vembanadlake (and the wetland ecosystem) using travel cost approach. The model considers number of visit made by the individual per annum as the dependent variable is and several independent variables such as cost of travel, family income, age, family size, time spent and quality of the backwater. The analysis was carried out using trip generating function. The results reveal that, the total recreational value of Vembanad backwater was 363 billion INR.

This study investigated the different factors influencing the repayment of agricultural credit in Jobner branch of Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank. For this purpose, purposive sampling was adopted and 50 borrowers were selected from the list of defaulter borrowers from the branch. Through the pre-tested schedules, necessary informations were collected from the defaulters as well as from the bank employees regarding actual causes behind overdues. Finally data were summarized using descriptive statistics.

The present study on access the impact of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK's) for conducting the training programmes in their respective district of the Nagaland state during the year 2012-13 to 2016-17 (five years) and also to assess the impact of income as well as employment generated for that purpose it was categorized into two groups viz., adopted and non-adopted villages (80 respondents to each category which make a total of 160 respondents). In rural India, the percentage of women who depend on agriculture for their livelihood is as high as 84%.Apart from participation in actual cultivation; women participate in various forms of processing and marketing of agricultural produce. Women accounted for 93% of total employment in dairy production. To begin with training programmes were started to self-help groups (SHG) on labour saving equipment, processing, value addition and storage of grains followed by model processing units establishment in rural areas. Workshops and melas were also conducted for empowerment of women in SHGs.

120 SHG members from 12 SHGs of Haorangsable and Wangoi block of Imphal-West district of Manipur were studied. Majority of the respondents were of middle age, married, belonging to general caste, living in nuclear and small family, having low education and residing in „Pucca‟ houses with „service‟ as their primary occupation while SHG is the secondary one, possessing less than 1 acre of land with semi-medium to low level of social participation and extension contact; possessing negligible land and household possession were mostly above Rs. 1, 00,000.

Sericulture is a traditional agro-based economic activity that has been playing a significant role in generating employment and income. Ericulture is a subsidiary occupation of the rural women folk of Indo-Mongoloid and Tibeto-Burman races of the Brahmaputra Valley. The study was undertaken during 2018-2019 with an objective to find out consequence of Sujala Watershed Project on accessibility to livelihood. The study was conducted in Tumkur district of Karnataka. Total of 210 respondents were interviewed for this study which includes 180 beneficiary and 30 non beneficiary farmers.
