There is a growing recognition of multidisciplinary practices as the most rational approach to providing better and more efficient healthcare services. Pharmacists are increasingly integrated into primary care teams, but there is no universal approach to implementing pharmacist services across healthcare settings.

In recent years, the number of patients with dyslipidemia coming to the hospital for examination and treatment has increased, while the guidelines on the treatment of dyslipidemia at the hospital have not been updated. In addition, no specific studies have been conducted to study the characteristics of the group of patients using drugs to treat dyslipidemia and evaluate the rationality of drug use and treatment outcomes for blood lipid disorders in the hospital.

Internationally, there is no consensus on how to best deal with admission requests in cases of full ICU bed occupancy. Knowledge about the degree of dissension and insight into the reasons for this dissension is lacking. Information about the opinion of ICU physicians can be used to improve decision-making regarding allocation of ICU resources.

Predicting dynamics of host-microbial ecosystems is crucial for the rational design of bacteriotherapies. We present MDSINE, a suite of algorithms for inferring dynamical systems models from microbiome time-series data and predicting temporal behaviors. Using simulated data, we demonstrate that MDSINE significantly outperforms the existing inference method.

The oil absorption capacity decreased with blending. Other functional properties such as Water absorption capacity, Bulk density, swelling index, loaf height, and loaf volume increased as blends ration increases. Sensory characteristic reflected a down turn progression as blending was increased. Increase in cashew nut flour led to increase in chemical and functional quality values of the bread samples hence cheap bio functional ingredient which could also alleviate hidden hunger in rural populations with supplies of macro and micro nutrients.

At present, the continuous increase of household electricity demand is strategic and crucial in electricity demand management. Household electricity consumers can play an important role in this issue. The rationalization of electricity consumption might be achieved by using an efficient Demand Response (DR) program.

The projected demand for total knee arthroplasty is staggering. At its root, the solution involves increasing supply or decreasing demand. Other developed nations have used rationing and wait times to distribute this service. However, economic impact and cost-effectiveness of waiting for TKA is unknown.

To improve quality of care for patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis (OA), general practitioners (GPs) and physiotherapists (PTs) in a Norwegian municipality initiated an intervention. The intervention aimed to increase provision of core OA treatment (information, exercise, and weight control) prior to referral for surgery, rational use of imaging for assessing OA and improve communication between healthcare professionals.

Intelligence is the aggregate or global capacity of the individual to act purposefully, to think rationally and to deal effectively with the environment. Previous studies have shown that individuals with intellectual disability, IQ < 70, have increased risk of being diagnosed with one or more mental disorders. We wanted to investigate if this also applies to individuals with IQ between 70 and 85.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is one of the most popular forms of IT for businesses at present. Deriving from efforts to rationalize lead times and possession stock costs, the 80’s manufacturing resource planning (MRP II) is developed into ERP system considered as the standard that integrates business processes throughout the organization, which in turn enhances operational efficiency (Akkermans, Bogerd, Yücesan, & Van Wassenhove, 2003; Davenport, 1998). Callaway (1999) states that the ERP system promises to achieve benefits in both tangible (e.g.

There have been experiments with laying hens divided into 4 groups which receive rations with different amounts of lead and cadmium. The amount and distribution of the two toxic elements in the egg components have been studied and the environmental risk for human food use has been assessed. Two new criteria defining the chemical heterogeneity of the biosphere at sub-organismal level have been devised: Clark of distribution and Clark of safety. These criteria are proposed to increase the effectiveness of management.
