Studies were undertaken to find out the effect of inoculum load of post harvest pathogen (Penicillium islandicum) on disease initiation, threshold point and population build up of blue mould rot in Indian gooseberry. Inoculations were made on the fruits of Indian gooseberry at five concentrations (10, 50, 100, 200 and 500 spores/ml.). The disease initiation commenced after 54 hrs. of inoculation with inoculum load of 500 spores/ml followed by 200 spores/ml where the initiation of disease was observed after 72 hrs.

Present investigations were undertaken at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Aonla or Indian gooseberry, Emblica officinalis Garten, is an important horticulture crop of India. It is a rich source of vitamin C and used in various ayurvedic medicines. Penicillium islandicum, which was, earlier, a minor disease, but now become a major disease of Inadian gooseberry. The present study revealed that resistance and susceptibility against the blue mould rot (Penicillium islandicum) disease can be observed among the varieties of E.

The present investigation was carried out during 2015-16, in the Department of Horticulture, V.N.M.K.V. Parbhani, Maharashtra. Aonla (Emblica officinalis) also known as Indian gooseberry is one of the oldest Indian fruits and considered as “Wonder fruit for health”. The aonla candy was made up by using different treatments i.e. sugar syrup solutions, dipping time and drying methods. There are two levels of sugar syrup concentrations i.e. 60% and 70%, three dipping times i.e.36 hrs, 42 hrs and 48 hrs and three drying methods i.e. sun drying, solar drying and cabinet drying.

The study was carried out at Fruit Research Station, Imaliya, Department of Horticulture, college of Agriculture, JNKVV, Jabalpur, (M.P.) during January 2018 to May 2018. The experiment consist of three growing conditions viz. (C1) Open condition, (C2) net house, (C3) poly house condition and six treatments of seed i.e. (S1) water soaking, (S2) GA3 200 ppm, (S3) GA3 400ppm, (S4) GA3 600ppm, (S5) Thiourea 0.5%, and (S6) Thiourea 1% having 18 treatment combinations.
