Dermatophytosis in calves is a major public and veterinary health concern worldwide because of its zoonotic potential and associated economic losses in cattle farms. However, this condition has lacked adequate attention; thus, to develop effective control measures, we determined ringworm prevalence, risk factors, and the direct-sample nested PCR diagnostic indices compared with the conventional methods of dermatophytes identification.

In the present prospective study from August 2016 to July 2017 a total of 117 pneumonic goats were screened, of which naturally infected twenty-four cases of bacterial pneumonia were evaluated for pulmonary function in detail based on the different diagnostic methods such as clinical examination, isolation and identification of bacteria, hematology, blood gas analysis and radiographic study.

The investigation on some important neurological parameters as diagnostic and prognostic indicators in spinal disorders in dogs was undertaken at Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex, Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur during December 2015 to July 2018 on 53 dogs reported for the complaints of posterior paresis and hind quarter weakness. The dogs were subjected to clinical and neurological examinations and neurological grading was undertaken. All the dogs were treated according to their ailments by conservative management or the surgical interventions.

The study was carried out to investigate bovine tuberculosis and diagnostic potential of IFN-γ assay and necropsy inspection in different abattoirs of Assam and Meghalaya, including its species identification. A total number of 234 animals were screened by IFN-γ and necropsy inspection. IFN-γ was performed according to kit procedures and carcasses were inspected for any gross visible lesion. Species identification was confirmed by biochemical test (viz. Nitrate reduction test, Pyrazinamidase test and Niacin detection test) and PCR targeting pncA and oxyR gene.

The highly infectious nature of tuberculosis (TB) urges the need to increase the efficiency and rapidity of lab methods. The coexistence of TB and cancer was investigated using Mycobacterium tuberculosis direct test (MTD) and the mycobacteria growth indicator tube (MGIT), besides the conventional lab procedures. All assays were performed on 101 patients clinically suspected of having a mycobacterial infection.

The aim of the present study was to determine the frequency of CF patients out of the referred cases in a single referral hospital in Egypt. A total of 100 patients clinically suspected of having CF were recruited from the CF clinic of the Allergy and Pulmonology Unit, Children’s Hospital, Cairo University, Egypt, throughout a 2 year period. Sweat chloride testing was done for all patients using the Wescor macroduct system for collection of sweat. Quantitative analysis for chloride was then done by the thiocyanate colorimetric method.

The overuse of medicines has frequently occurred at health facilities in Vietnam. Many factors affect prescription. This study was carried out to investigate the patterns of outpatient prescription and factors related to prescription of doctors. Subjects and method: Cross-sectional study with a total of 300 outpatient drug prescriptions and 30 questionnaires of physicians were conducted at Phongdien Medical Center, Cantho city during the period of 2017 - 2018. Myomas cause significant morbidity and are the single most common indication for hysterectomy in the United States, representing a major personal and public health concern worldwide. Prenatal diagnosis, traditionally used as a synonymous for invasive fetal testing and evaluation of chromosomal constellation, presently encompasses many other issues like pedigree analyses, fetal risk assessment, population screening, genetic counseling and fetal diagnostic testing as well.
