Endophytic nonrhizobial bacteria, Chryseobacterium indologenes, Endophytic non rhizobial bacterial stain AM2 was isolated from root nodules of Vigna radiate. The bacterium was Gram-negative, yellow pigmented, nonspore forming, motile and oxidase positive. Phylogeny of 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that the strain belonged to the genus Chryseobacterium, a member of family Flavobacteriaceae.

An investigation was carried out to isolate bacterial endophytes from small millets that have the ability to produce phytohormones like indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), gibberellic acid (GA), cytokinin and1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase. Thirty two bacterial endophytes are isolated from small millets and among thirty two isolates, twenty isolates produced indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) in the range of 96.70 μg to 254.95 μg and the isolate KMS1 produced significantly highest concentration of IAA (254.95 μg) followed by FMR3 (231.87μg).

Methylobacterium spp. are a group of bacteria known as pink-pigmented facultative methylotrophs (PPFMs) capable of growing on single carbon compounds such as formate, formaldehyde, and methanol as well as on a variety of multicarbon compounds having no carbon-carbon bonds. They are distributed ubiquitously in the plant phyllosphere and rhizosphere and have been isolated from many species of plants. Methylotrophs are known to play an important role in increasing crop yield and soil fertility.

Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L.) occupies third place among the various oilseed crops due to its considerable economic and nutritional value. Many naturally-occurring rhizosphere bacteria colonize its roots and benefit plants by enhancing the availability of nutrients. In this study, seventy eight bacterial isolates were obtained from the rhizosphere of mustard and screened for beneficial characteristics. Thirty two rhizobacterial isolates produced indole acetic acid ranging from 1.08 to 19.95 μg/ml.

Environment pollution and the food shortage are the biggest problem faced by human beings. As the world population increase food requirement also increases. To fulfil the requirement of food the farmers are dependent on the chemical fertilizers which are harmful for environment. Thus the alternate to these problems are the use of biofertilizers.

Beneficial plant-growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) have been reasonably applied to rescue crucial issue for agriculture by salinity soil. Observed most of PGPB was found in endophyte, rhizosphere and soil. Indole acetic acid (IAA)-producing bacteria could naturally stimulate and facilitate plant growth. The knowledge of IAA production and content of bacteria resident in the marine environment has been typically insufficient and limited to date.

Banana (Musa paradisiaca L.) as famous tropical fruit around the world. The one important and destructive disease of banana is Fusarium wilt caused Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. cubense (Foc). Foc as soil-borne pathogens and movement of pathogen through the rhizome and water, capable survive in waste crops at the field. The purpose research is to study physiological character of Bacillus sp. such as : ability of bacteria produced IAA (Indole Acetic Acid), gibberelin (GA3), ability phosphate solubilizing and produce salicylic acid as biological control against Foc.

Rhizobacterial strains having plant growth promoting hormone can helps in promoting plant growth and mitigates adverse conditions. Keeping in view of their positive impact, present study was undertaken to identify the Salt Tolerant Rhizobacteria (STR) having IAA production activity. Out of 300 bacteria from the mustard rhizospheric soil 25 could able to grow at 10% NaCl medium termed as STR were assessed for their plant growth promoting hormones. Bacterial strains (STR PGP) B1, B14, B17 and B25 identified as genus Enterobacter showing IAA production ranges from 1 - 3 µg/ml.

In the present investigation total 167 non rhizobial endophytic bacterial isolates from roots of chickpea were collected and screened for qualitative P solubilization. Out of these 37 potential bacterial endophytic isolates from root were selected for further quantitative Psolubilization, Indole acetic acid (IAA), Gibberelic acid and ACC deaminase production. High P-solubilization was recorded in isolate RBR20 (20.60 mg100ml1 ). Maximum amount of IAA was produced by isolate LCRE 9 (39.60 μgml-1 ) (presence of tryptophan) and RBR164 (19.93 μgml-1 ) (absence of tryptophan).

Bacterial and fungal endophytes are widespread inhabitants inside plant tissues and have been shown to assist plant growth and health. However, little is known about plant growth-promoting endophytes (PGPE) of medicinal plants. Therefore, the aims of this study were to identify bacterial and fungal endophytes of Teucrium polium and to characterize plant growth-promoting (PGP) properties of these endophytes.
