The aim of study "Measuring the nature of East Asia’s automobile production networks" is to explore the nature of East Asia’s automobile production networks by means of social-network methods. In this paper, we have also developed a domination degree index (DDI) and domination intensity index (DII) to measure the dominating power of each East Asian country in the automobile networks. The results suggested that the networks of East Asia’s automobile industry are expanding over time both in terms of the number of links in the network as well as the strength of those links.

The article will shed lights on the impact of oil price on some macroeconomics indicators of Vietnam, specifically the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the Index of Industrial Production (IIP). The research will employ the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model, the samples include oil price, which is the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Index of Industrial Production (IIP) recorded monthly in the period from January 2015 to December 2019. Results have shown the impact oil price has on macroeconomic indicators in Vietnam.

The main purpose of this paper was to identify the driving forces of change in energy-related CO2 emissions in the Polish iron and steel industry in 1990-2017. The analysis relied on the logarithmic mean Divisia index method used for both the entire study period and the seven 3-year sub-periods. The results represented that there is a positive significant relationship between a firm size and a firm age with the level of CSRD. However, there is a negative significant association between financial leverage and profitability with the level of CSRD. In this paper, we measure and analyse profit efficiency and productivity of Vietnamese banks using a newly developed index approach which is based on the directional distance function. Our findings indicate that the average bank operates quite far below the frontier of the best-practice bank, mainly due to allocative inefficiency rather than technical inefficiency, and that Vietnamese banks experience modest productivity growth.

The study used meta- frontier framework, data envelopment analysis approach and the global Malmquist total factor productivity index to analyse technical efficiency and productivity change as well as its components of Vietnamese textile and garment firms during 2013-2015. The results show that: (i) The total factor productivity of Vietnamese textile and garment firms fell in the period 2013-2015, and technical change is the main reason to constraint productivity growth.
