Clinical Laboratory produces large quantities of liquid infectious waste in the form of body fluids including blood. Biomedical waste management generally covers the solid waste generated in the Health care set up. Liquid infected waste management in a hospital is mainly addressed in the form of Sewage treatment plant (STP) or Effluent treatment plant (ETP) which is made mandatory for hospitals. Construction of these facilities involves lot of financial expenditure. Small facilities may not be able to afford to construct a STP or ETP in their facility.

Because there is no clear definition of the asthma phenotype, researchers studying the development of this complex disease turn to characteristics that can be measured objectively, such as atopy (manifested as the presence of positive skin-prick tests or the clinical response to common environmental allergens), airway hyperresponsiveness (the tendency of airways to narrow excessively in response to triggers that have little or no effect in normal individuals), and other measures of allergic sensitization.

Charities Are More Likely to Have a Paid Staff Volunteer Coordinator. We asked respondents if their charity or congregational social service outreach activity has a paid staff person whose responsibility includes management of volunteers. Three out of five charities (62 percent) report that they have such a person. Roughly a third (37 percent) of congregations that manage volunteers in social service outreach activities say that a staff person has responsibility for this management. Paid Staff Coordinators Spend Little Time Managing Volunteers.

Moreover, many areas of sustainable development remain technically ambiguous, making it difficult to plan an effective course of action. For example, the forestry industry has had difficulty defining what constitutes sustainable forest management. Some critics believe that simply replacing trees is not enough, because harvesting destroys the biodiversity of the forest. Clearly, more research will be needed to resolve such technical issues. From a broader perspective, however, it is clearly in the interest of business to operate within a healthy environment and economy.
