Traditional nanodrug delivery systems have some limitations, such as eliciting immune responses and inaccuracy in targeting tumor microenvironments. Targeted drugs (Sorafenib, Sora) nanometers (hollow mesoporous silicon, HMSN) were designed, and then coated with platelet membranes to form aPD-1-PLTM-HMSNs@Sora to enhance the precision of drug delivery systems to the tumor microenvironment, so that more effective immunotherapy was achieved.

Chemotherapeutic agents such as anthracyclines and taxanes are commonly used in the neoadjuvant setting. Bevacizumab is an antibody which binds to vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA) and inhibits its receptor interaction, thus obstructing the formation of new blood vessels.

Advances in the treatment of biliary tract cancer have been made possible through gains in genomic and epigenetic tumor understanding. The use of fibroblast growth factor receptor inhibitor has enabled significant clinical improvement in a specific group of patients with intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, some of whom with very durable responses.

This study was designed to test the antiangiogenesis effect of Lyc and to explore the possible mechanisms. We performed cell experiments to confrm Lyc’s inhibitory effect on angiogenesis and employed sunitinib as a positive control. Moreover, the synergistic effect of Lyc and sunitinib was also explored.

Although immune-checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) are overall promissory for cancer treatment, they entail, in some cases, an undesired side-effect called hyperprogressive-cancer disease (HPD) associated with acceleration of tumor growth and shortened survival.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are enriched in exosomes and are extremely stable. Exosome-mediated intercellular transfer of specific biologically active circRNA molecules can drive the transformation of the tumor microenvironment and accelerate or inhibit the local spread and multifocal growth of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

The roles of low molecular mass polypeptide 2 (LMP2) and transporter-associated with antigen processing (TAP2) in tumorigenesis are controversial. Here we aimed to explore the effect of LMP2 and TAP2 on the oncogenesis and metastasis of cervical cancer cells.

Ferroptosis is a novel form of regulated cell death that is different from other forms, which has an important role in tumor growth inhibition. The purpose of this study was to construct and validate a prognostic signature related to ferroptosis in chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (ChRCC) and to explore its role in immune cell inflammation and systemic therapy.

This research aimed to investigate the roles of fanconi anemia complementation group D2 (FANCD2) on the regulation of ferroptosis in osteosarcoma progression. The function of FANCD2 on cell viability, invasion, migration, and tumor growth were explored. FANCD2 and pathway-related genes were determined by western blot. Ferroptosis-associated markers were determined, including lipid peroxidation, labile iron pool (LIP), ferrous iron (Fe2+), and ferroptosis-related genes.

B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2) family proteins are key regulators of apoptosis, which possess four conserved Bcl-2 homologies (BH) domains. Among the BH domains, the BH3 domain is considered as a potent ‘death domain’ while the BH4 domain is required for anti-apoptotic activity.

Non-coding microRNAs (miRNAs) play critical roles in tumor progression and hold great promise as therapeutic agents for multiple cancers. MicroRNA 29a (miR-29a) is a tumor suppressor miRNA that inhibits cancer cell growth and tumor progression in non-small cell lung cancer.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of RGS1 in gastric cancer in vitro and in vivo. Proliferation, migration, invasion, and colony formation of NCIN87 cells and drug-resistant NCIN87 cells (NCIN87-DR) were determined. Cell apoptosis and cell cycle were examined using a flow cytometry assay. RGS1 gene knock-down vector (pLVshshRGS1) and Xenograft tumor mouse model was generated.

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) plays a role in the tumor microenvironment. Sorafenib, which inhibits the VEGF pathway, has an immune-modulation function but lacks substantial clinical data. This study aims to explore the efficacy of anti-PD-1 combined sorafenib in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).

This combination of paclitaxel and curcumin gave a higher efficiency of both drugs in cytotoxicity, induced apoptosis, and effect on cell cycles of KPL4 cell line in comparison with the use of paclitaxel or curcumin alone or even a normal mixture of these two compounds. Furthermore, PTX-Cur/PLA-TPGS nanoparticles exhibited a powerful ability in preventing MCF7 spheroids growth. Interestingly, curcumin also functioned as both a drug and a label. Based on the autofluorescence of curcumin, the absorption of PTX-Cur/PLA-TPGS nanoparticles into MCF7 spheroids could be followed and calculated.
