  • Determine the coefficient of water permeability, waterproofing marks, chloride ion diffusion coefficients of some types of concrete commonly used in bridge construction subjected to pre-compressive and direct-compression loads. Develop a predictive model for life expectancy using reinforced concrete bridges taking into consideration the effect of the load according to the criteria of initial corrosion of reinforcement in concrete. Application of life expectancy for the structure of reinforced concrete bridges.

  • Therapeutic hypothermia is neuroprotective in asphyxiated neonates by counteracting mechanisms contributing to brain injury. Although an initial increased permeability is part of an inflammatory reaction and thereby a natural healing process, an excessive endothelial permeability with edema formation may result in impaired hemodynamics.

  • Colorectal cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed malignancies are mainly initiated by the mutations in the wnt signalling proteins, viz., Adenomatous polyposis coli (APC), β-Catenin and glycogen synthase kinase 3 β (GSK-3 β). The present study focuses on molecular docking analysis of bioactive molecules isolated from Stoechospermum marginatum against wnt signalling proteins. Twelve bioactive molecules from S. marginatum were evaluated for their potential to interact with wnt signalling proteins. The biomolecules were screened for their in silico ADMET properties.

  • Single spinel phases of Mn0.5Ni0.1Zn0.4NdxFe2xO4 ferrite samples (x = 0.0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.075, and 0.1) have been prepared by ceramic method and the composition dependence of the physical and magnetic properties has been investigated. SEM micrographs and EDX analysis revealed that there is no considerable effect for the Nd3+ ion substitution on the average grain size or porosity, whereas its concentration in the grain boundaries is higher than that in the grains. Saturation magnetization (MS) increased with the Nd3+ ion concentration (x) and reached a maximum value at x = 0.05.

  • HPDE-clay composites materials prepared by melting compounding have discrete change in mechanical physical properties in comparison to the initial HPDE even when a small amount of clays is introduced. It is presented the results of the studying of the structure, the properties and morphology of HPDE- clay composites. The E modulus is increased from 702 MPa in the initial to 993.34 MPa, the tensile strength is raised from 12.37 to 35.33 MPa (most 3 times) and solvent permeability is decreased with 1% clay.

  • Cartilage provides our joints with load support and lubrication for decades of continuous use with minimal friction or damage. These unusual bearing properties are in fact due to a biphasic tissue structure (containing both fluid and solid matrices) and the pressurization of interstitial fluid during dynamic deformations.

  • CO2 injection has recently been shown to provide significant enhanced oil recovery from naturally fractured reservoirs 1 . Li et al. (2000) performed CO2 injection at 1750 psig on artificially-fractured cores after water flooding in a dead-oil system. Gravity drainage was suggested to be the dominant recovery mechanism in these tests, with significant tertiary oil recovery after water flooding. The authors observed that the recovery of initial oil at the start of the CO2 injection declined as the rock permeability decreased and the initial water saturation increased. Darvish et al.
