The combined application of long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs) and indoor residual spraying (IRS) are commonly used malaria interventions that target indoor Anopheles vectors. Recent studies on the effects of house screening (HS) and LLINs have demonstrated a reduction in indoor vector densities and malaria when the interventions are combined.

ation. However, their residues persisted for more than 30 days with variable half-lives ranged from 2.6 to 30 days. The toxicological study revealed that metabolites C, E and F were highly pernicious to soil enzymes sucrase, catalase, urease and dehydrogenase. PYR do not posed any detrimental effects in adult honeybees. Considering the persistence behavior and toxicological consequences of metabolites, further investigations are needed for preventing their harmful effect on non-target organisms and associated environment.

The European starling Sturnus vulgaris is a hole-nesting bird in which the male builds a voluminous nest using a wide variety of materials such as twigs, grass, leaves, feathers, and lichens. The function of lichens in starling nests has not been assessed until now and we hypothesize that this material is related to a mate attraction function or is used to protect nestlings from parasites due to the presence of secondary compounds with insecticidal effects with the lichens.

Sitophilus zeamais Motschulsky, 1855 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae) which develops inside the grain, is an aggressive pest of stored grains. Here, we evaluated the efficiency of diatomaceous earth (DE), Diatomita CI/325 CX, and dolomite (DOL), Dolomita Dr. Kanyo, against S. zeamais reared on corn under laboratory conditions and observed external alterations on treated insects using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Insects treated with both DE and DOL were impregnated with particles on the body surface, and they showed 100% mortality after 10 days of exposure.

The parapheromone traps are excellent tool in reducing the population of fruit flies in snake gourd ecosystem. In farmer‟s situation, due to lack of awareness, availability and knowledge on its mechanism of trapping all paves way to move towards the spraying of insecticides. Considering these key limitations, this present investigation was framed to develop locally available, cost effective trap designs for the efficient eco-friendly management of fruit flies in snake gourd ecosystem.

Bacterial Blight of Soybean is caused by the bacterial agent Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea. It attacks all of the above-ground parts of soybean. Use of agrochemicals, pesticides and phytochemicals leads the deterioration of soil health, degradation of agroecosystems and environment pollution. Chitosan NPs have been investigated as a carrier for active ingredient delivery for various applications due to their biocompatibility, biodegradability, high permeability, cost-effectiveness, non-toxicity and excellent film forming ability, antimicrobial and insecticidal activities.
