A field investigation was conducted at Instructional farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kendrapara, Odisha during kharif and rabi seasons of 2013-14 and 2014-15 in ricegroundnut cropping system under irrigated medium land situation. The soil of the experimental site was sandy loam in texture with pH of 5.7, organic carbon of 0.52 % having available soil nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium of 390.9 kg/ha, 10.1 kg/ha and 190.1 kg/ha respectively.

Piper betle L., (family- Piperaceae) commonly known as the betel vine is an important medicinal and recreational plant in Southeast Asia. Betel vine is a dioecious, evergreen, perennial creeper with glossy heart shaped leaves. The present study was executed to identify the suitable integrated nitrogen management on leaf yield, quality and economy of betel vine (Piper betle L.) cultivars in new alluvial zone of West Bengal. The experiment sight was carried out in the Research farm of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur during Rabi season 2013-14. Raipur is situated in the Central part of Chhattisgarh. The notable improvement with respect to growth parameters with the use of Vermicompost-A and inorganic fertilizers may be attributed due to sufficient availability of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other essential nutrients which resulted in increasing growth parameters.
