The effect of integrated nutrient management on nodulation and yield of pigeonpea based intercropping system were investigated. A field experiment was carried out during kharif season of 2007 and 2008 at N.E. Borlaug Crop Research Centre, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand to assess the effect of three cropping system (pigeonpea sole, pigeonpea + blackgram and pigeonpea + maize), two levels of inoculation [with and without phosphorus solubilizing bacteria (PSB)] and three levels of farm yard manure (0, 2.5 and 5.

A field experiment is conducted to study the effect of integrated use of organic and inorganic sources of nutrients and biofertilizers on growth and nutrient content of maize in Alfisols of Hyderabad. The results revealed that among the inorganic nutrient treatments 100% RDF treated plots recoded significantly higher yield and nutrient content and uptake of grain and stover. The reduction in levels of fertilizers reduced the growth of the maize.

Integrated effect of organic, inorganic and biofertilizers on crop yield and N,P and K uptake under rainfed maize-wheat cropping system and available nutrients during 2015- 2016 is being studied in sandy loam at Jammu under the INM maize-wheat trial. The results revealed that the application of recommended levels of NPK to maize-wheat with FYM, VC and biofertilizers (Azotobacter and phosphate solubilizing bacteria) resulted in grain 66.53 per cent and straw 13.00 per cent increase over control in maize and wheat yields, respectively. Increasing levels of 50% N + recom.
