The present investigation was undertaken to evaluate the effect of integrated weed management practices on weeds as well as crop growth and yield parameters in brinjal cv. BH-6747 during 2012-13 at vegetable research farm, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. The field experiment comprised of various chemicals (weedicides) and mulch.

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe) is grown in tropical and subtropical regions of the world for its spice and medicinal values. The emergence and early growth of ginger is inherently slow and weed growth can impact on yield. It has slow initial growth rate and shallow root system. As a result, it is invaded by a variety of weeds. A field experiment was carried out during 2015-16 and 2016-17 in randomized block design with three replications under AICRP on Weed Management at College of Horticulture and Forestry, CAU, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, India with nine treatments.

A field experiment was carried out during the rabi season of 2011-12 and 2012-13 at Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour (Bihar) to assess the effect of integrated weed management practices on weed dynamics, productivity and nutrient uptake of maize (Zea mays L.). Results revealed that weed management practices had positive influence on growth, yield attributes, yields and nutrient uptake of maize. Significantly lower weed density, weed dry weight and weed control efficiency (WCE %) were recorded in zero tillage (ZT) compared with conventional tillage (CT).

The experiment has been conducted on the experimental field of Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur under split-split plot design along with three replications in the year 2010-11 and 2011-12 during the Rabi season in potato crops (Solanum tuberosum). Aerobic rice is a new way of cultivating rice that requires less water than lowland rice. Direct sown aerobic rice suffers more due to weed menace as the weeds and rice compete for growth factors together. Achieving higher rice grain yields under aerobic conditions requires better weed management practices. Hence, the aerobic rice should be focused primarily on efficient weed management to make aerobic rice cultivation more efficient in terms of returns on farmer investments and use of water resources.

A field experiment was conducted at the instructional farm of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Jajpur, Odisha during 2015 to study the “Effect of integrated nutrient management on growth, yield and quality of okra”, variety-Pusa A4. From the experiment it was observed that application of RDF (75%) + (25%) N through neem oil cake (T7 ) produced maximum plant height (131.40 cm), internode length (8.02cm), fruit length (11.96cm), maximum number of fruits per plant (14.42), individual fruit weight (14.89g), yield per plot (13.29kg), Yield per ha.
