  • Meyer separated Thlaspi into 12 genera, specifically using the seed-coat anatomy. Currently, only 4 species have been retained in Thlaspi s.str and all of the other species were divided into other genera, one of which was Thlaspiceras F.K.Mey. The plant materials used in this research were collected in Turkey between 2014 and 2016. Specimens were identified according to Meyer’s identification and named according to Meyer. A total of 12 inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) primers, with 52 reliable polymorphic bands, were used in the cluster analyses.

  • In recent years, epigenetics has gained a central role in the understanding of the process of natural selection. It is now clear how environmental impacts on the methylome could promote methylation variability with direct effects on disease etiology as well as phenotypic and genotypic variations in evolutionary processes. To identify possible factors influencing inter-individual methylation variability, we studied methylation values standard deviation of 166 healthy individuals searching for possible associations with genomic features and evolutionary signatures.

  • Genetic diversity among sixty three okra genotypes was estimated using Mahalanobis D2 statistic. The genotypes were grouped into nine clusters. The maximum number of genotypes was found in cluster I (36) followed by cluster III (15) and Cluster II (6). Remaining all were solitary clusters with single genotype.

  • Flow cytometry is a widespread single-cell measurement technology with a multitude of clinical and research applications. Interpretation of flow cytometry data is hard; the instrumentation is delicate and can not render absolute measurements, hence samples can only be interpreted in relation to each other while at the same time comparisons are confounded by inter-sample variation.

  • In the present study all the 30 genotypes were grouped into six non overlapping clusters based on non- hierarchical Euclidean cluster analysis. Maximum numbers of genotypes (7) were grouped in cluster-I, IV and VI followed by cluster-II (5), cluster-V (3) and cluster III with one genotype. Inter-cluster distances was highest between cluster IV and VI (916.73) followed by III and V (846.80). Among the 21 characters studied, grain yield plant-1 , stover yield plant-1 , number of kernels per row and ear height contributed maximum towards the total divergence.

  • Genetic diversity analysis through cluster were performed in 62 mutant lines of black gram inclusive two checks namely Indira Urd Pratham and KU 96-3. In cluster analysis, the 62 genotypes were grouped into 5 cluster for 13 quantitative yield related characters. In study there were 27 mutant lines in cluster I, 32 in cluster II, 1 in cluster III, 1 in cluster IV and 1 in cluster V. The maximum inter cluster distance were obtained between cluster V and cluster III (69.94), which is followed by cluster V and cluster I (63.86). The inter cluster value varied from a range of 69.94 to 8.74.

  • Inter relationship among yield and its attributes in cowpea can be studied through correlation and path analysis. In the current study, 102 Indian cowpea genotypes were evaluated based on twelve quantitative characters to study the association between yield and its contributing traits. Single plant yield showed significant positive correlation with traits viz., number of clusters per plant, number of pods per plant, pod length, number of seeds per pod, number of pods per cluster and hundred seed weight.

  • Genetic diversity study involving twenty one thermo tolerant tomato genotypes was carried out for twelve physiological and biochemical characters at Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi during summer season of the year 2014. All the genotypes were grouped into 4 distinct clusters using D2 statistics. Cluster I and cluster II comprised of 10 genotypes represented by heat tolerant genotypes while cluster III showed 4 heat sensitive genotypes. The clustering analysis of all genotypes showed that heat sensitive and heat tolerant genotypes were represented by distinct clusters.
