This paper presents an experimental study of corrosion-damaged reinforced concrete (RC) columns under eccentric compression. Three RC concrete column specimens, identical in geometry, reinforcing steel bars, and concrete mix, were fabricated. One undamaged control specimen served as the control group, while the other two column specimens underwent corrosion due to chloride ion exposure.

In this work the results of the study on a generalization of the XY model with an additional q-fold nematic-like term through Monte Carlo simulations in two dimensions (2D) have been presented. While the conventional 2D XY model has only integer vortexes, the generalized 2D XY model has both integer and non-integer 1/q vortexes, making the phase diagram of the generalized 2D XY model is much richer than that of the conventional 2D XY model.

Photon - Saxion conversions in strong magnetic fields with dimensions are considered in detail by the Feynman diagram methods. The differential cross sections (DCS) are presented and numerical evaluation is given. Based on the results, they show that the saxion can be a good candidate for the cold dark matter (CDM).

Inverse gas chromatography (IGC) was to be a beneficial analysis method for the research of thermodynamic characteristics of the new LC. Acetate and alcohol isomers were used to examine LC selectivity via the IGC technique at temperatures between 333.2 K and 483.2 K.

In the present work, diethanol amine modified polystyrene based polymer (PVBC-Diethanol amine) was synthesized and characterized, then surface properties of the polymer were examined by inverse gas chromatography method at infinite dilution. The retention diagrams obtained based on the interaction of polar and nonpolar probes with the polymer were drawn over a temperature range from 30 to 55 °C.
