This paper presents a system that combines torque control algorithms based on a back-propagation neural network (BP-ANN) and an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). The BP-ANN uses a multi-layer structure where the input layer processes factors such as load torque, rotational speed, and stator current, hidden layers model complex nonlinear interactions, and the output layer predicts optimal torque for AFPMSM operation.

This paper investigates flexural behavior and analytical approach for predicting the load and deflection at critical performance points of reinforced concrete (RC) beams strengthened with prestressed carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets. A finite element model is developed to simulate the interaction between the RC beam and the CFRP sheets, capturing key aspects such as failure modes, ultimate load, and mechanical behavior across the three phases of failure.

The researcher of this project is a volunteer worker at the International Buddhist College of Victoria. Anecdotal evidence has put forwarded prior to this research that communication and relationships between parents and children in IBCV were deteriorating as a result of parents working long hours and children spending too much time playing computer games.

This work investigates the generation of neutron flux inside lead shielding due to cosmic rays as a function of shielding thickness by use of the GEANT Monte-Carlo modelling code. GEANT allows for the Monte-Carlo modelling of the transport of particles in matter. This includes muons, the particles of interest here, which originate from cosmic ray showers.

The primary aim of this research was to identify what would enhance the overall performance of Australian universities in research commercialisation¹ and industry uptake of the university research commercialisation outcomes. Four research questions were enunciated: 1. What are the systemic barriers to research commercialisation within Australian universities? 2. How could Australian universities overcome the systemic barriers to the commercialisation of university research? 3.

This research investigates the interactive effects of usability, the designer perspective and user expectations on the user experience (UX) of e-commerce websites. It incorporates the theoretical underpinnings of Norman’s (1988) seminal research specifically, Mental Models and Nielsen’s User Categories (1993) to explore the different mental models, domain and technology expertise of two distinct groups – users and designers – in the interaction with a selected system image, that of the e-commerce website.

This thesis develops a contingency-based model for competitive advantage, tested over time on a sample of rapidly growing small-to-medium enterprises. Incorporating two independent studies, the project addresses interactions between specific elements of strategic orientation, strategic behaviour, firm performance, while examining the moderating role of environmental turbulence.

The thesis studied the development and implementation of the conceptual Continuous Improvement Teamworking (CIT) Model for strategic performance improvement in retail banking operations. The investigation using of a dominant qualitative to a Less-dominant quantitative approach as a mixed-method strategy revealed the importance of the CIT Model realised through the CTIO (Concern-Task-Interaction-Outcome) Problem-Solving Cycle. The CTIO Cycle is a variant form of the traditional Deming-Shewhart PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) Cycle.

This thesis focuses on the relationships between corporate governance structures and the interactions between corporate governance actors. It places the audit committee at its central focus point, but within a holistic corporate eco-system. To develop a more rounded understanding of corporate governance phenomena, the relationships between governance structures and the interactions between governance actors are framed through the lenses of both agency theory and institutional theory.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore how metaphor-based interactions can enhance the behavioural interactions in project environments to deliver better outcomes. It documents the processes and findings from an action research program to investigate the impact of combining metaphor, conversation and reflective practice techniques into a new model, the Reflective Performance Cycle (RPC) to stimulate richer and more productive interactions between project team members.

The thesis is structured as follows: In Chapter 1, the scientific literature is summarized within the scope of this study. Chapter 2 provides a comprehensive overview of the principles of the applied computational approaches in this study. Chapter 3 identifies the important residues of the LsIA/α7 nAChR complex that affect the interactions between the toxin and the membrane protein due to C-terminal carboxylation of LsIA. The effects of C-terminal modification of LsIA on interactions with α3β2 nAChR, involved in cardiovascular diseases, were also investigated in Chapter 4.

The present study contributed to the body of knowledge by providing a theoretical framework in modelling and predicting host residents’ interactive behaviour towards tourists, and a comprehensive understanding of the roles that psychologic, demographic and socio-graphic factors plays in the different directions of community attitudes towards tourism. It also provided tourism authorities with practical recommendations and implications in terms of tourism planning and a harmonious relationship between the host residents and tourists.

Purpose: Developing mean-field theory for a 2D two-band model including electron – phonon interaction and the extended Falicov-Kimball model involving electron/hole – phonon interaction. Studying the properties of electronic systems in EI state through investigating the above models. Then, we compare the nature of each condensation state on both sides of the BCS – BEC crossover or the competition with the CDW state.
