Assessment can be considered as a key component for the improvement of the quality of language teaching and learning process. This study aims to investigate how teachers practice formative assessments (FA) in English for occupational purposes (EOP) classes and how they perceive it in promotingstudents’ learning, as well as challenges they faced. Data were collected through survey questionaires with sixty-one teachers and interviews with five teachers selected randomly.

The primary objective of the research is to develop a balanced scorecard framework for construction contractors and measu re performance of contractors using that framework. The results of the questionnaire survey carried out and follow-up interviews conducted among 34 senior managers in Melbourne revealed that the above performance measurement framework is appropriate to use in a contracting organisation. This thesis investigated the major factors contributing to marketing success, as measured by average annual Return on Shareholders Funds, within the Australian corporate finance market, during the period 1983 to 1987. The study's findings are based on the analysis of the responses to a detailed mail questionnaire, and several follow-up in-depth interviews. The questionnaire was mailed to nearly five hundred of the most senior executives working in the corporate finance market in late 1987.

This study examined the current situation of the Serbian Orthodox Church both in its Australian and transnational contexts since the Serbian Orthodox Church functions as transnational network with churches linked globally. The research strategy was a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. This included a case study approach which focused in four parishes in Australia, including interviews which involved forty six participants affiliated to Serbian Orthodoxy and four Serbian Orthodox priests who were individually interviewed.
