  • In the present study, two new donor–acceptor–donor-type molecules were synthesized and the electro-optical properties of the resulting monomers and their corresponding polymers were investigated.   • Two new azo-Schiff base receptors (L1 and L2) containing azo and azomethine groups with a conjugated group (benzyl ring of anthranilic acid, in L1) and electron-donating group (alkyl chain of hexanoic acid, in L2) were synthesized and characterized. Azo-hydrazone/phenol-keto tautomerism and solvatochromism were investigated. Studying their sensing ability towards cations (Co2+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Ni2+, Pb2+, Cd2+, Mn2+, Fe3+, Cr3+, and Al3+), high sensitivity and selectivity were recorded for Fe3+ by naked eye and UV-Vis spectra in DMF-aqueous HEPES buffer (v:v, 1:1, pH 6.8).

  • The present research was carried out to investigate the effect of packing materials (Hermetic bag, 300 PP bag, 200 PP bag, White plastic bag and gunny bag) and grain moisture content at packing (13%) on quality of Green gram cereals for Six months of storage in the laboratory of Farm Structures, Dr. PDKV Agriculture University Akola, Maharashtra. The quality characters (microbiological and color analysis) were determined throughout the storage period and the changes in the quality of stored grain were evaluated in terms of these variables.

  • In this work, Co doped NiTiO3 was synthesized by sol-gel method. The systematic investigation the effect of Co doping on the structural, optical and magnetic properties have been carried out. It showed that the Co dopants modified the optical properties of NiTiO3 with changing color from yellow to green and decreasing optical bandgap from 2.34 eV (undoped sample) to 1.91 eV (10 mol.% Co doped sample).

  • The present investigation focuses on standardization the process for sour dough bread and its quality evaluation. Dough was fortified with LAB culture (Lactobacillus plantarum and Lactobacillus brevis) at 0.1% (T1), 0.15% (T2) and 0.2% (T3) level of incorporation. The product prepared was evaluated for color, flavour, taste, texture, appearance and overall acceptability using semi-trained panel members on 9 point hedonic rating. It can be concluded that the LAB culture can be used successfully in preparation of sour dough bread at the level of 0.

  • A study was conducted using laboratory spray dryer (Lab plant SD- 05) to produce spraydried papaya leaf powders using three different maltodextrin concentrations (8%, 10% & 12%) as the encapsulating agent, three feed flow rates (350 mL/h, 475 mL/h and 600 mL/h) and three different inlet temperatures (130 oC, 140 oC and 150 oC). The spray-dried papaya leaf powders were analysed for moisture content, water activity, color, pH and total flavonoid content. Results demonstrated that as inlet air temperature increased, the moisture content, water activity and total flavonoid content decreased.

  • In this study, PP fibers and air entraining admixture (AEA) were used together in an high performance concrete (HPC) mix so as to create interconnected reservoirs in concrete and to improve fire performance of HPC. For this reason, nine mixes of HPC incorporating blast furnace slag with 0.24 water-to-binder ratio and various PP and AEA contents were produced. Specimens were cast in two different sizes in order to see the effect of size and 18 series of specimens were obtained.

Investigators noted that many test providers were not able to distinguish the color changes seen in VILI-positive cases from irrelevant conditions such as ectropion or inflammation, in spite of repeated training.
