In this retrospective study, 1872 stool specimens examined from January 2018 to December 2018 by saline and iodine mount were included. The negative samples were further screened using formol ether concentration technique. 114 (16.1%) out of 1872 specimens were positive for parasitic infection.

The present study was undertaken to evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of Lugol’s Iodine in 20 infectious repeat breeder crossbred cows brought to the AI centre of Department of Veterinary Gynaecology and Obstetrics of College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Mhow and in nearby Government AI centres. Animals were divided into two groups of ten in each. The animals in first group were treated with intrauterine infusion of 0.3 per cent concentration of I2KI w/v dissolved in saline to make 30 ml at 24 hrs intervals for 2 days.

Twenty four female KF calves were selected and distributed randomly into 4 groups of 6 animals each based on their body weight and age in a randomised block design (RBD). In group T1, the concentrate mixture consisted of mineral mixture without iodine. The animals in group T2 and T3 were supplemented with iodine at 0.25 and 0.5 ppm of dietary DM while in group T4, 4 micronutrients i.e. chromium, niacin, vitamin E and Zn were supplemented @ 1.5, 600 40 and 40 ppm, respectively for 150 days.

The main objective of the study is to estimate prevalence of soil transmitted helminthic infection and factors associated with hookworm infections. The oxidation reaction of triiodide, I3 −, by chlorate is investigated in a slightly acidic and neutral media. The reaction was verified and monitored both potentiometrically and spectrophotometrically. Generally, a slow linear decay preceded by an induction period was observed for the triiodide concentration following the addition of chlorate. The induction period is likely to be related to the time required for the generation of suitable concentrations of plausible intermediates (HIO and HIO2), which are assumed to auto-catalyse the reaction.

The residents around the RIPF assume that 131I detected in environmental samples is produced from RIPF. To ensure the safety of the residents, the radioactive concentration of 131I near the RIPF was investigated by monitoring environmental samples along the Gap River. The selected geographical places are near the nuclear installation, another possible location for 131I detection, and downstream of the Gap River.

The electrodes after being sensitized with dye “N179” were combined with Pt counter electrodes and iodine-based electrolyte to make DSSC cells. I-V characteristics of the DSSC cells were recorded at room temperature. The open-circuit voltage (Voc), the short-current density (Jsc) and the photoelectric conversion efficiency η) of the DSSC cells were estimated. The results show that the graphene content added into TiO2 electrode films has affected on Voc, Jsc and η of cells in the nonlinear form. The efficiency reached a maximal value with a graphene concentration of 0.005 wt %.
