This paper aims to provide information about the fractions of cadmium (Cd) and its distribution in surface sediment collected from bivalves harvesting areas in Binh Thuan province (Tuy Phong, Phan Thiet, Lagi). For this purpose, the sediment samples were collected monthly along with these areas in 2015–2016. To analyze the fractions of Cd, a five-step Tessier (1979) sequential extraction process was used, including Fraction 1 (Exchangeable), Fraction 2 (Bound to carbonate), Fraction 3 (Bound to iron-manganese oxide), Fraction 4 (Bound to organic compounds), and Fraction 5 (Residual).

This paper aimed to determine the grey water footprint (GWF) of geothermal water resources and to investigate the effect of biochar adsorption on grey water footprint in Southeastern Turkey. In this paper, GWF has been calculated in terms of iron (Fe), arsenic (As), manganese (Mn), boron (B), and chrome (Cr) concentrations for fifteen observation geothermal resources located in Southeastern Anatolia Region. In this study, a new approach based on the GWF was developed in order to determine the geothermal water pollution.

The study discussed the inner-sphere complexation between arsenic species and active surface metal (hydr)oxide NPs, which is attributed to the high selectivity toward arsenic species over other common ions (such as sulfate and chloride). In this study, we aimed to use ferrate as an all-in-one alternative for the removal of chlorine-consumed compositions such as organic, color, turbidity, iron, and manganese in river water for water supply purposes. Ferrate (FeO42-) was simultaneously employed as coagulant and oxidant for purification of Saigon River water in order to reduce the formation of disinfection byproducts in the produced tap water.

Nine typical pedons from Langate Block of Kupwara district during 2017 were selected and surveyed for the purpose of collection of soil samples. The soil samples processed and analyzed for different nutrients. Available Micro and Macro nutrients were determined using standard techniques. The overall results showed that the soils are near slightly acidic to moderate alkaline in reaction, low to medium in organic carbon. In general the soils The available nutrients Nitrogen and Potassium were low to medium with the mean values of 287.99 and 149.

This study investigated the current situation of groundwater use for domestic purposes and consumption. The research team collected data from several centralized water supply stations operated by the CERWASS. The team also conducted surveys and took water samples from 94 households and water supply stations. The evaluation of groundwater quality and its suitability for domestic use was also conducted. The results showed that in terms of raw water quality, most of the samples had low iron (Fe) concentration and pH value.

The present investigation entitled “Fertility status of irrigated soils of Jhotwara panchayat samiti of Jaipur district “was carried out during 2010-11. The soils were pH neutral to alkaline (pH 7.2–8.5) in reaction having electrical conductivity (EC) value in surface soil (0.53–2.51 dSm-1 ). The data on nutrient showed that the soils are low in organic carbon and available nitrogen and low to medium in available phosphorus and available sulphur whereas, medium to high in available potassium.

This study aims to understand the concentrations of selected heavy metals including arsenic, iron, manganese, cadmium and mercury in groundwater used for domestic purposes in Dak Nong Province of Viet Nam. A total number of 572 groundwater samples including 61 duplicates were collected during October, 2018 – April, 2019. The collected samples were measured onsite for pH and preserved with 2 % HNO3 until pH < 2 before being analyzed in the laboratory for heavy metals by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.

Municipal solid waste compost (MSWC), rock phosphate (RP) and phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) @ 20 ml pot-1 were applied as soil amendment to investigate its effect on soil, nutrients uptake and yield in wheat (Triticum aestivum, L.). Maximum up take of potassium (K) mg kg-1 , Phosphorous (P) mg kg-1 and Nitrogen (N) mg kg-1 , Iron (Fe) mg kg-1 , Copper (Cu) mg kg -1 , Manganese (Mn) mg kg-1 and Zinc (Zn) mg kg-1 was observed with the application of RP @ 1000 kg ha-1 + MSWC @ 20 t ha-1 .
