A field experiment was conducted on medium black calcareous clayey soil at Junagadh (Gujarat) during summer season of 2019 to study the effect of zinc and iron fortification on growth and yield of summer pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br. Emend. Stuntz).

Micronutrients are not only essential for plant growth and development but are also integral to human health. Fe and Zn deficiencies cause serious nutritional problems in human beings. Increasing the micronutrient content of grain by bio-fortification offers great potential to combat micronutrient deficiency and dramatically impact human health. To find out the most suitable and profitable method of bio-fortification in aromatic rice with Zinc and Iron, a field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2019 at the Research Farm, Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, Bhagalpur.

Field studies were carried out during the growing season 2015-16 and 2016-17 at Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola (Maharashtra) to study “Effect of zinc and iron fortification on growth and developmental stages of upland irrigated rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars”. The treatments were laid out in factorial randomized block design (FRBD) with three replications.
