Kenen (1969) hypothesizes that countries that are largely dependent on one export commodity could experience weaker monetary integration and synchronize the business cycle among them. This paper aims to retest Kenen’s hypothesis, which is applied to the seven largest oil-producing countries in the Islamic world. This study employs the optimum currency area index and the Pearson correlation matrix to determine the degree of integration and synchronization of the business cycle. This study empirically proves that most oil-producing countries are tightly integrated.

Aristotle's views on the physical sciences profoundly shaped medieval scholarship, and their influence extended well into the Renaissance, although they were ultimately replaced by Newtonian physics. In the zoological sciences, some of his observations were confirmed to be accurate only in the 19th century. His works contain the earliest known formal study of logic, which was incorporated in the late 19th century into modern formal logic.

This lack of sufficient funding and political will means we are not only underfunding local water-treatment systems and roadway investments but also perpetually neglect ing large-scale regional projects. Such cross-state “megaprojects” have the potential to produce massive economic returns but frequently go unfunded or unconsidered because they are simply too large for states, localities, or limited federal programs to finance.
