Canna edulis. Ker processing craft villages in rural area of Vietnam are developing rapidly thus helping local people to create high-income jobs. However, large amount of untreated waste water and solid waste have been causing serious environmental pollution. Strain Bacillus subtilis NT1, isolated from wastewater of Canna edulis. Ker processing craft village, has proven to be capable of handling wastewater

The results showed that 02 bacterial strains and 06 actinomycete strains were selected from 32 isolates. Then, we optimized the growing conditions of the screened microorganisms. Among actinomycetes strains PU1.1, PU2.1 gave the highest weight loss results, therefore they were selected for further study. Our results showed that TG2.1 and CM4.1 are Bacillus subtilis. PU1.1 is Streptomyces lilacs, while PU1.2 is Streptomyces Misiones. The selected microorganisms belong to risk group level 1 (safety group).

In Turkey, Tinocallis (Sappocallis) saltans (Nevsky) on Ulmus glabra Hudson was detected for the first time, and it was determined that it caused a considerable amount of damage. The study was conducted for the purpose of determining the usability of enthomopathogens in the control against it, while avoiding the negative effects of chemicals on the environment and human health. A total of 12 bacteria strains were tested for control efficacy and verified: Brevibacillus brevis (2), Bacillus thuringiensis (1), Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kenyae(2), Bacillus thuringiensis subsp.

Potato dry rot disease (Fusarium spp.) is one of the most important fungal storage rots on potato tubers after harvesting. The aims of this study were to identify the Fusarium species that cause dry rot in potato storages, evaluate the most virulent Fusarium species in vitro and in vivo for fungicide sensitivity and determine the susceptibility of the cultivars. In this context, as a result of surveys carried out in potato storages of Ödemiş and Torbalı counties in İzmir province in 2015–2016; Fusarium species obtained from diseased potato tubers were identified as Fusarium sambucinum, F.

In this study, we isolated 28 strains of Bacillus spp. from water samples, catfish pond mud samples and earthworm manure (Perionyx excavates). By the cross-streak agar methods, 22 Bacillus strains showed the inhibition ability to Edwardsiella ictaluri, which caused Bacillary Necrosis Pangasius (BNP) in catfish (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus). Both Bacillus sp. Q16 and Q111 strains showed the highest inhibition to E. ictaluri by the double-layer agar methods.

Fusarium wilt of chickpea is a widely distributed and the most destructive disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. ciceri. The main objective of this experiment is to identify the effective Bacillus isolates against Fusarium oxysporium f.sp. ciceri under in vitro condition. A total of five Bacillus spp. isolates (TB1, TB2, TB3, TB4 and TB5) were isolated from rhizhosphere region of tomato and eight Bacillus subtilis isolates (BS4, B, KPB5, KK, BSD3, C1, G1, and B2) were collected from Department of plant pathology TNAU.

Endophytic bacteria isolated from the Oryza sativa plant were evaluated for phosphate solubilisation. Five of these isolates that showed good phosphate solubilising activity were characterised at molecular level and tested for phosphate solubilisation using three different sources viz tricalcium phosphate (TCP), aluminium phosphate (AlPO4) and iron phosphate (FePO4). Based on 16s rRNA gene sequence analysis the isolates were identified as Pantoeaa ananatis, Pseudomonas putida, Brevibacillus agri, Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus megaterium.

These chitinase-producing bacterial strains were tested for antagonistic activity against the causal agent of bulb and stem rots of lilies, Fusarium oxysporum, and the results indicated antifungal activity of the four strains HP02, VRQ9, HM03, and GL10. The HP02 strain had the highest level of chitinase activity and was capable of being antagonistic to Fusarium oxysporum. Based on morphological and biochemical characteristics, 16S rRNA gene sequencing, and phylogenetic analysis of this sequence along with sequences from GenBank, HP02 was identified as Bacillus subtilis.

Bacterial wilt caused by Ralstonia solanacearum, a genetically diverse soil-borne pathogen with a wide host range, is a devastating plant vascular disease (Hayward, 1991). No effective chemical product is available for Ralstonia-induced wilt. Alternative methods such as biological control agents (BCAs) have shown effectiveness.

DEHP (di-ethyl hexyl phthalate) is widely used as a plasticizer and it adversely affects humans. In this study, one of the promising DEHP-degrading strain T28 had been selected among isolated pure bacterial strain from rubbish landfill soil near the hospital area, Patna. The bacterial strain T28 was capable of consuming DEHP as a sole source of carbon and energy. By analysing morphological, biophysical, biochemical characteristics, gram staining technique followed by the analysis of 16s rRNA phylogenetic studies, the strain was identified as Bacillus subtilis (Genbank Accession no. CPO230367).

Khasi mandarin orange is an important horticulture crop in Meghalaya but several losses have been reported due to the post-harvest disease Penicillium rot caused by Penicillium sp. B. subtilis was evaluated for its efficacy against Penicillium sp. under in-vitro. A total of 260 isolates were isolated from samples collected from different habitats of Meghalaya. Twelve B. subtilis isolates were identified by morphological, biochemical and molecular identification and studied for their antagonistic properties against Penicillium sp.
