Item difficulty index

This study aimed to find the Classical Test Theory (CTT) and Modern Test Theory (MTT) item parameters of the Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) and examined their comparability of them. The item parameters being studied are difficulty level and discrimination index. 5.024 data of the result sub-test DAT were documented by the Department of Psychology and Guidance and Counselling bureau.

The study mainly contemplates to find out the knowledge of watershed farmers towards natural resource management practices. Keeping this in view, an attempt has been made to develop a test for measuring the knowledge of watershed farmers towards Natural Resource Management practices. Pertinent items were collected covering all aspects of Natural Resource Management practices. After getting jury opinion on the items of test index of item difficulty, index of item discrimination and index of item validity were worked out.

The present study was conducted in two districts namely, Erode and Coimbatore districts of Tamil Nadu State with sample size of 60 farmers to develop a perception test for Human-wildlife conflict (HWC). Eight components of Human-wildlife conflict perception of affected farmers, Socio-cultural Impact, economic impact, reasons for HWC, responsibility in reducing HWC, efforts of villagers after HWC, eco centrisim, antropocentrism and environmental apathy were selected based on relevancy weightage and scale value.

Climate change impacts on agriculture are being witnessed all over the world, but countries like India are more vulnerable in view of the huge population dependent on agriculture, excessive pressure on natural resources and poor coping mechanisms. NICRA is an ICAR initiative launched to focus on educating and demonstrating the climate resilient agriculture technologies to the farmers. The study was conducted in Ananthapuram district of Andhra Pradesh to find out the knowledge of farmers towards climate resilient technologies.

Majority of the organic waste in India is not disposed properly due to the lack of knowledge and an important resource gets wasted likewise. Therefore, a tool in the form of knowledge test was developed and standardized for measuring the knowledge of stakeholders regarding organic waste management. A total number of 102 items were collected in the form of open-ended and multiple choice questions which were served to 36 farmers for their response.

The non-availability of a standardized scale to measure the farmers‟ knowledge level influenced the researchers to construct a test for measuring the knowledge on recommended tomato production package of practices. Pertinent items were collected covering all aspects from the crop production guide developed by the Department of Horticulture, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. After getting jury opinion on the items, test index of item difficulty, index of item discrimination and point biserial correlation for the items were worked out. All these were taken in to account to arrive at the final scale.

The present study was aimed to construct, develop and standardize a Knowledge Scale on Hygiene. After going through several related literature, the researcher outlined a scale and after analyzing, the content framed 90 items related to the course. The prepared 90 items were revised and edited carefully and then given to a panel of experts in the field of health, hygiene and extension specialist for their valuable suggestions and corrections to ensure its quality. Thus the content validity of the tool was established. After seeking the opinion of the experts some of the items were reframed.

A standardized knowledge test was developed to measure the extent of knowledge of commercial dairy farmers towards brucellosis in dairy animals. Initially 32 items list was prepared which were related to different aspects of brucellosis and its sign, symptoms, modes of transmission, vaccination and prevention and control in dairy animals were selected with discussion of expertsin the field of Veterinary Extension Education, Extension Education, and were from various Agricultural and Veterinary Universities.

Indian agriculture is characterized by the ownerships of small land holdings. The small holdings are used for mainly production of food crops. The small farmers inadequately use fertilizers and without or meager irrigation can produce only one crop in a year, which is turn make the farmers economic condition not only pathetic also lead to inability to purchase input required for farming, like fertilizers, good quality seeds etc.
