In this study, dissimilar lap-joints between aluminum alloys 6061 and 316 stainless steel was produced by friction stir welding technology. The attention was put on the effect of different probe lengths on joint strength. The probe length was arranged from 2.7 mm to 2.9 mm.

Paralympic Cross-Country sit-skiers use adaptive equipment, with a resulting gesture similar to double poling techniques adopted by able-bodied skiers. Despite the similarity, a specific attention on the gesture performed by sit-skiers is needed. The paper focuses on the sledge kinematic and on inertia effect of upper body motion which is translated in a propulsive effect in the early stage of the pushing cycle. In particular a group of 7 elite sit skiers of class LW10 were recorded with a video-based markerless motion capture technique during 1 km sprint Paralympic race.

The thesis aims to propose some control techniques for mobile target Robot-camera. After that, I studied some of the torque control techniques of joints for the Robot-camera system sticking to the mobile target and the Robot-camera system, paying attention to the motivating motor sticking to the mobile target. In this paper, three controllers including OFCHA (optimal fuzzy control using hedge algebras - HAs), FCHA (fuzzy control using HAs) and CFC (conventional fuzzy control) are designed. Our attention is paid to the stability in the vertical position of a damped-elastic-jointed inverted pendulum subjected to a time periodic follower force. Different values of the pendulum length are considered. Simulation results are exposed to illustrate the effect of OFCHA in comparison with FCHA and CFC.
