In this study, pot culture experiments were carried out to investigate the most suitable level of fly ash for the amelioration of soil that can enhance the management of fly ash. The fly ash recovered from the Mong Duong 2 coal-fired thermal power plant and had the main chemical composition of oxygen (43%), Si (26%), Al (15%), K (9%), and Fe (6%).

Field studies were conducted on application of zinc and boron to summer rice crop on Alfisols at Naganahalli village, Mysore district, Karnataka. The results showed that external application of zinc as ZnSO4 @ 20 kg ha-1 and boron as borax @ 4 kg ha-1 significantly enhanced the plant height number of tillers hill-1 , grains per panicle, thousand grain weight, grain yield and straw yield of paddy. Further there was significant increase in major (N, P and K), secondary (S, Ca and Mg) and micronutrient (Zn, Cu, Fe, Mn and B) status of soils.

Nitrogen and Phosphorus are the two most essential nutrients in popcorn. Others nutrients that are limiting in soil and require fertilization for popcorn are K, S, Zn, Fe, etc. To produce one tone of grain and dry matter, maize crop withdraws 8.0 kg of N, 2.5 kg of P2O5 and 18 kg of K2O from the soil.

A field experiment was conducted at Agricultural College Farm, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh on sandy upland soils during post-monsoon, 2018. The experiment consisted of four levels of nitrogen and four population densities laid out in randomized block design with factorial concept. Nutrient content significantly increased with increase in nitrogen levels and higher content of N, P, K, Zn and Fe were obtained with 90 kg N ha-1 which was significantly on par with 60 kg N ha-1 .

An experiment was conducted at Agronomy farm, S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner during kharif season 2017. The treatments comprising four Sulphur levels (control, 20 kg S/ha, 40 kg S/ha and 60 kg S/ha) and four foliar spray of iron (control, foliar spray of 0.5% FeSO4 at flowering, peg formation and flowering + peg formation) assigned to main and subplots of Randomized Block Design, respectively were replicated thrice. Groundnut variety RG-425(Raj Durga) was used as a test crop.

Phosphorus and zinc are two essential nutrients which are required for normal plant growth. These nutrients are mutually antagonistic in certain circumstances which can cause yield reductions in many crops due to either P or Zn deficiencies. Deficiencies typically happen when a nutrient is available in small amounts. In this phenomenon, the nutrient is present in marginal to normal levels but the antagonizing nutrient is available in such a large amount that it induces the deficiency of the other.

An investigation was carried out to estimate the level of selected macro and micronutrients in the soil and fodder of ten tehsils of Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The soil analysis indicated that moderate amount of major nutrients like Phosphorous, Potassium, Magnesium and calcium were present in these soils. This study indicated that the soils of this region were rich in micronutrients viz., Fe and Pb whereas, Mn, Cu and S contents were intermediate in quantity. On the other hand Zn was found to be deficient in these soils. The average Ca content in straws (0.

More than 12 • 109 m3 /year of Nile Delta drainage water is annually discharged into the Mediterranean Sea. El-Salam (peace) canal, having a mixture of such drainage water and the Nile water (1:1 ratio), crosses the Suez canal eastward to the deserts of north Sinai. The suitability of the canal water for agriculture is reported here.

Low Fe-doped insulating ferromagnets La2CoMnO6 were prepared and studied. The compounds crystallized in orthorhombic space group Pnma with slight changes in the lattice constants. We have observed a significant reduction of resistivity due to doping, together with an increase of magnetization and saturated magnetization as doping level increased. The doping also reduced TC for both transitions at around 220 and 140 K which attribute for the different spin orderings of the magnetic ions.
