The Harlequin Ladybird, Harmonia axyridis (Pallas, 1773), is native to Eastern Asia but it has been introduced to many countries in Africa, America, and Eurasia. In Turkey, H. axyridis is one of the most fast-spreading invasive alien species. Since the collection of the first specimens in 2010, H. axyridis spread almost all over the country. The species spreads fast in Turkey according to the new records, obtained originally from the field studies and the citizen science data.

Centaurea uysalii Şirin & Çeçen, a new Asteraceae species from the province of Karaman, in Turkey, is described and illustrated herein. It is morphologically similar to C. bourgaei Boiss. (Subgen. Cyanus), but it mainly differs from its relative in terms of the involucre and achene lengths. The achene micromorphological features and karyomorphology of C. uysalii and C. bourgaei were examined in this study. The IUCN conservation status is the Critically Endangered [CR B2 a b (i, iii)] category.

Herein, macrofungi specimens that were collected from different locations in Karaman province, Turkey between 1999 and 2001 are reported. As a result of field and laboratory studies, 202 taxa belonging to 2 classes and 41 families were identified.

Senecio inops Boiss. & Balansa subsp. karamanicus Hamzaoğlu & Budak (Asteraceae, Senecioneae) is described as a new subspecies from Karaman Province (Inner/South Anatolia). A Latin diagnosis, a taxonomic description, an illustration of the new subspecies, geographical distribution, and some comments on its affinity with Senecio inops Boiss.& Balansa subsp. inops are given.

Silene duralii Y. Bagci sp. nov. from Ermenek-Kazanci (C4: Karaman province) is described and illustrated. It is closely related to S. capillipes Boiss. & Heldr., from which it differs mainly in its hairiness, leaves, and floral features. Diagnostic morphological characters are discussed and the diagnostic key for related Silene L. species, which are widespread in Turkey, is reorganized.

Astragalus yukselii Karaman & Aytaç (Leguminosae) is described as a new species and illustrated. The species is distributed near the town of Hadim in Konya Province (South Anatolia). Diagnostic morphological characters useful in discriminating the new species from its close relatives, A. isauricus Hub.-Mor. & V.A.Matthews and A. karjaginii (Boriss.) Boriss., are explained. Both species clearly belong to Astragalus L. sect. Macrophyllium Boiss.

Astragalus unalii Çeçen, Aytaç and Mısırdalı, sp. nov. (Fabaceae, sect. Malacothrix Bunge) is described as a new species from Karadağ (Karaman Province) in southern Anatolia and compared with its relatives growing in steppe vegetation. The new species is close to A. tauricola Boiss. and A. adiyamanensis Podlech & M.Ekici, endemic and growing in central and southern parts of Anatolia, Turkey.
