This paper presents a method to design a time-varying parameter PID controller for Bézier trajectory tracking of a differential-drive mobile robot (DDMR). First, the robot's linear error model is established by linearizing around the desired angular velocity of the nonlinear kinematic error model. Then, the variable parameter PID controller is designed to control the DDMR to follow the Bézier trajectory with minor error under the condition of time-varying velocity.

This research presents identification technique of robot geometric parameters and its joint deformation joint angle. The target of the paper is comparison of two cases 1) only geometric calibration and 2) geometric and joint deformation angles calibration. Simulation calibration is performed on a Hyundai 800 robot which is designed for carrying heavy loads. The robot position accuracy after calibration demonstrates the effectiveness and correctness of the method.

The molecular emission provides the spatial kinematics of the features within the envelope, which is valuable for estimating the orbital parameters of the binary system and for inferring the physical conditions of the gas within the envelope. We also show that the appearance of the molecular emission depends on the viewing angle resulting in a range of shapes from the spiral pattern to ring-like features, similar to that observed recently in a number of circumstellar envelopes at high angular resolution.

Gait kinematics after total hip replacement only partly explain the differences in the joint moments in the frontal plane between hip osteoarthritis patients after hip replacement and healthy controls. The goal of this study was to determine if total hip replacement surgery affects radiological leg alignment (Hip-Knee-Shaft-Angle, femoral offset, Neck-Shaft-Angle and varus/valgus alignment) and which of these parameters can explain the joint moments, additionally to the gait kinematics.

In this study, a simple size-dependent isogeometric approach for bending analysis of functionally graded (FG) microplates using the modified strain gradient theory (MSGT), simple first-order shear deformation theory (sFSDT) and isogeometric analysis is presented for the first time. The present approach reduces one variable when comparing with the original first-order shear deformation theory (FSDT) within five variables and only considers three material length scale parameters (MLSPs) to capture size effects.

This paper analysed the real-world driving data to determine the representative parameters of driving cycle for the purpose of the typical driving cycle development of bus in Hanoi. The realworld driving data of bus in Hanoi were collected by using the Global positioning system technique with 1Hz data update rate. The real-world driving data of fifteen bus routes in the inner city were collected continuously, on weekdays as well as at weekends. The data, then, were used to calculate 33 kinematics parameters reflecting the realistic driving characteristics, including vehicle-specific power.

The cover cropping in orchards is an advantageous method of weeding which suppresses the weed growth as well as adds additional income. The side-shift offset rotavator was used to prepare a weed free seed bed in orchard field. The side-shift offset rotavator was a newly introduced implement in the field of interculture operations, especially for the orchard crop. The commercially available implement was equipped with J shape soil cutting blades. Those blades were replaced with L shape blades due to their undesirable outcomes. The testing was carried out separately for both types of blades at a fixed tilling depth of 9.6 cm. In this study, the type of cutting blade, kinematic parameter and soil moisture were the considered as the explanatory parameters.
