A field study was conducted during June 2019 to June 2020 at different locations of the haryana district to find out the utilization pattern of kisan credit card by the farmers, to analyze the constraints faced by the farmers while issuing of KCC and repayment of loan and the strategies to overcome these constraints, to analyze the impact of KCC on the enhancement in agricultural production.

Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme was started by Government of India in year 1998- 99 to provide adequate and timely support from the banking system to the farmers in a flexible and cost effective manner. The study has been undertaken to evaluate Kisan credit Card scheme in Bhabua district of Bihar. The study used both primary and secondary data on KCC issued and amount sanctioned collected from District Lead Banks and primary data relating to production, income, borrowing, repayments, interest and cost of borrowing, opinion of borrower etc.

The present investigation was undertaken in Deoghar block of Deoghar district in Jharkhand. Purposive sampling was followed for the selection of one hundred and twenty respondents, dividing them into two groups beneficiaries who were availing the benefits of the Kisan Credit Card Scheme and non-beneficiaries who were not availing any benefits of KCC Scheme. Pre-structured interview schedule was used to collect the data, collected data were tabulated and analysed with suitable statistics to draw conclusion.
