In this view, a study was conducted to analyze constraints faced by farmers in using KMAS in Banaskantha district of Gujarat state, India. A total of 123 respondents constituted sample size were selected through multistage sampling technique. The data collection was done with the help of structured schedule by personal interview of the respondents.

The use of KMAS by farmer-subscriber is affected by their socio-economic status. So keeping these points in mind the study was mainly focused to reveal the socio-economic variables associated with the farmers of Banaskantha district.

The study sought to identify the constraints faced by the farmers in using Kisan Mobile Advisory Services (KMAS) in Uttara Kananda district of Karnataka State, registered under http://mkisan.gov.in portal through ICARKrishi Vigyan Kendra, Uttara Kannada, Sirsi. Total of 110 respondents were selected for the study, 10 each from 11 talukas in the district. Factor analysis was used to identify the major constraints that lie inherent in the set of 10 specific constraints that were presented before the respondents for their rankings on a four-point continuum (0 to 3).

Information Communication Technology (ICT) is today becoming as important as food. Even in rural India, ICTs are having a profound impact in changing the rationale of development activities and strategies. Inspite of these farmers abstain from using it due to various constraints. In this view, a study was conducted to analyze constraints faced by farmers in using KMAS in Latur district of Maharashtra state, India. A total of 120 respondents constituted sample size were selected through proportional sampling technique.

The study was conducted in Latur district of Marathwada region. Population for the study comprised of respondents who were subscriber of Kisan Mobile Advisory Service in Latur district. From latur district Latur, Ausa and Renapur tahsils were selected purposively because more number of farmers in these tahsils were using KMAS. Proportionate sampling method used in selection of respondents, thus total sample size was one hundred and twenty respondents which who are subscribers of KMAS. One shot case study method of ex-postfacto research design was adopted for this study.
