  • The objective of the present study was to identify the technological gap in knowledge perceived by rural women in processing and preservation of fruits of Udaipur District. The study was conducted in Badgaon and Girwa panchayat samities of Udaipur district of Rajasthan state. From each panchayat samiti, two villages were included in the study.   • In the present study, a total 124 participants were judged for their knowledge gain after training on Mushroom Production Technologies. The training programme on Mushroom Production technologies were arranged for rural youth, farmers and farm women of district Barnala, Punjab. Maximum knowledge gain (86.29 %) was observed in Button mushroom compost production technologies followed by 81.45 per cent knowledge gain in learning about the commercial varieties of mushrooms popular in northern India.

  • This study was conducted in the Karauli district of Rajasthan to assess the training needs of farmwomen engaged in dairy farming. It was found that the out of the five major farm operations studied, the farm women needed training the most in housing. The minor operations preferred the most for knowledge need were proper design of cattle shed, selection of breeds, compounding balanced feed using locally available ingredients, vaccination and banking and insurance.

  • Present study was taken up to find out the Knowledge levels of the Married women in the adopted villages of Maheshwarammandal, RR district, Hyderabad with regard to Reproductive health issues. Seventy five Married women (without children) formed the sample for the present study. Checklist was developed to find out the Knowledge levels of Married women. Based on the results, Knowledge based Intervention programmes were organized. Impact assessment showed significant improvement in the Knowledge levels of the sample, reflecting the effectiveness of the Intervention programme.

  • The study was conducted in Udaipur district of Rajasthan State. The sample consisted of 100 farm women. Frequency and percentage were used for analysis of data. The study reveals that television, mobile and internet facilities were available to majority of the respondents and the reason for not having mobile phone reported i.e. other members of the family had phones which were used by them. Respondent had (91.0%) without internet facility mobile set because they require for connecting with their relatives/friends and 31- 35 per cent respondents having mobile with internet.

  • A study was conducted in Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sonitpur to assess the problems faced by the trainees in utilizing knowledge gained in training programme. The respondents were purposively selected from the three training programmes conducted by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sonitpur, one each on dairy, goatery and poultry farming. As per the guidelines in every training programme under the KVK a minimum of 25 trainees consisting of farmer, farm women or rural youth should participate.
