The yearlings of Rohu (Labeo rohita) was fed with commercial pellated feed as T1(Control), feed incorporated with Lactobacillus sporogenes @ 4% as T2, Saccharomyces cerevisiae @ 4% as T3 and both Lactobacillus sporogenes @2% and Saccharomyces cerevisiae @ 2% as T4.The experiment was designed for 120 days in the cement tanks. Feeding was done with probiotics and without probiotics at alternate 15 days. Sampling was done at an interval of 15 days. The samples were analysed to determine the weight gain %, specific growth rate %, FCR, FER and TPC of probiotic microbes.

Histological slides of the intestine or bowl of Indian magur (C. batrachus) was studied under compound microscope to observe the effects of probiotics Lactobacillus sporogenes against oxytetracycline resistant pathogenic bacteria Micrococcus sp. inoculated on the histology of intestine or bowel; by preparing slides of the small intestinal tissue over a period of eight weeks.

A total of seven microorganisms were isolated from different probiotic sources. The nicotine reducing activity of isolates was tested by general analytical techniques. Amongst them isolates BC6 and BC7 possess maximum nicotine reducing activity therefore it was selected for further investigation. Both isolates could utilize up to 1 g/l nicotine as the sole source of carbon and nitrogen, and optimum nicotine reducing activity obtained at pH 7 by inoculating with inoculum size of 1 McFarland standard units.

Đề tài đƣợc thực hiện trên đối tƣợng là các chủng vi khuẩn L. sporogenes phân lập từ chế phẩm (Thorne Research, USA). Bƣớc đầu, chúng tôi tìm hiểu về đặc điểm hình thái vi/đại thể và sinh hóa của vi khuẩn. Sau đó, tiếp tục khảo sát những đặc tính khác: khả năng sinh acid lactic trong môi trƣờng 10% sữa đặc có đƣờng; khả năng hình thành bào tử trong hai loại môi trƣờng nuôi cấy MRSA và GYE, hai điều kiện nhiệt độ - thời gian 370C/6 ngày và 370C/2 ngày chuyển sang 500C/2 giờ và 700C/2 giờ....
