This study utilized the GIS-based Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model to simulate the flow of Vu Gia - Thu Bon river basin at two hydrological stations - Nong Son and Thanh My, during the calibration period (2004 - 2010) and the verification period (2011 - 2015). The evaluation results of both periods, as measured by the NSE and R2 indexes, were found to be above 0.75.

UML has become a standard modeling language because of its programming language independence. UML is used to design software and information systems in the form of common UML diagrams: use case diagrams, class diagrams, sequence diagrams, state diagrams, activity diagrams, component diagrams, and deployment diagrams. The research used case diagrams to design the land price information system functions and class diagrams to design the land price database. Therefore, we use UML language to create a land price information system and land price database for Dan Phuong district, Hanoi city.

The chapter aim to develop an information system model for online driver’s license for department of land transport in Thai supply chain and an evaluation of the model . Samples are ten experts in the field of information system and supply chain. Ten experts are selected by purposive sampling method. The obtained data are analysed using mean and standard deviation. The research result demonstrates the model consists of five elements namely main components, Supplier, Department of land transport, Finished person, Customers.

The prolonged drought due to climate change has significantly affected the agricultural production of rural communities in the mountainous and plain areas of Vietnam. We use the standardized precipitation index (SPI) combined with Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS) to simulate and forecast the impacts of drought on agricultural land use in Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province, in the study.

In recent decades, remote sensing and Geography information of system (GIS) have been able to build thematic maps with high accuracy for managing and monitoring natural resources and the environment, including the solar radiation potential. Establishing solar potential maps from satellite data combined with natural conditions, topography, and land cover will effectively assist in planning solar energy development while helping to identify the appropriate technology and lowest cost.

Flood is one of the most commonly occurring forms of natural disaster which damage to environment and society. In order to contribute to the work of mitigating the effect of climate change as well as floods' damage, this study introduces a method to simulate discharge with respect to design storm through hydrological modeling system (HMS).

Based on the criteria of agricultural ecological partitions, the research used agricultural ecological partition methods in the buffer zones of Ta Dung National Park. Besides, combine the GIS tool (Geographic Information System) to digitize, update information, overlap, zoning, build ecological partition maps, and adapt land units and partitions.

The aim of this study is to compare the bioclimatic comfort conditions of Uşak city between 1990 and 2018. In the first stage, the bioclimatic comfort conditions of the city centre between 1990 and 2018 were determined according to the Physiological Equivalent Temperature (PET) index obtained from the RayMan model by using hourly data of the meteorological station in the city centre; air temperature (°C), relative humidity (%), wind velocity(m/s) and cloudiness (octa).

A submarine area close to the Turkish and Greek border between the cities of Samos-Greece and Seferihisar-Turkey has been shaked on October 30, 2020 by a Mw= 6.9 earthquake. In this study, the finite source mechanism of the Samos earthquake was investigated using geodetic methods and the coseismic behavior of the earthquake was modeled. The observed coseismic displacements at 62 sites were inverted for the fault geometry and the slips. The mainshock did not generate an on-land surface rupture. However, the uniform slip modeling shows a finite source of 43.

Some species are exceptionally common in landscapes heavily impacted by humans, such as agricultural lands. This study was carried out over a period of 2 years (July 2012 to June 2014) in the arid agricultural landscape of Pothwar Plateau, Pakistan, to identify adaptations that govern bird distribution and abundance across 2 different cropping systems associated with differences in water availability. We used regular surveys and foraging observations to quantify species abundance, distribution, and habits. We then examined morphological correlations with ecological attributes.

This paper discuss the impact of watershed interventions on bio-physical, hydrological, agricultural and socio-economic indicators. Changes were detected in land use for agriculture crops, water body coverage and area under very good soil moisture. Ground water table and crop productivity were improved. Migration of workers from rural to urban areas was declined. The mean gross income of households was increased. Overall, the watershed interventions provided resilience by ensuring sustainable multiple outputs, besides soil and water conservation.
