This study aims to evaluate perioperative, oncological, and functional outcomes of laparoscopic partial nephrectomy performed for cT1bN0M0 renal cell carcinoma at Binh Dan Hospital. Data were collected on 37 patients who had undergone laparoscopic partial nephrectomy for cT1bN0M0 renal cell carcinoma from January 2021 to September 2023.

To evaluation of the long term outcome of laparoscopic radical nephrectomy for pathological T1, T2 renal cell cancer at Viet Duc Hospital. Methods: We retrospectively identified 73 patients who underwent RN between 2015 and 2022. We divided patients into three groups based on tumour size: 7 cm. Clinical and paraclinical characteristics include age, gender, back pain, tumor size, tumor location, disease stage on computed tomography scans, histopathological results, postoperative outcomes and complications, postoperative survival time, and accumulated survival time.

Port site metastasis (PSM) after laparoscopic Surgery for Renal Cell Carcinoma is asporadic disease. At Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, the first case of renal cell carcinoma was operated by laparoscopic surgery in 2006. Since then, we have only recorded 2 cases of PSM. Case 1: Tumor recurred 17 months after laparoscopic radical nephrectomy with the diagnosis of sarcomatoid RCC T1bN0M0; Case 2: Tumor recurred three months after laparoscopic radical nephrectomy with the diagnosis of clear cell RCC T1bN0M0.

Adequate operation interspace is the premise of laparoscopy, and carbon dioxide (CO2) was an ideal gas for forming lacuna. A retroperitoneal space is used to form operation interspace in retroperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy by making ballooning, and the retroperitoneal space has no relative complete and airtight serous membrane, therefore CO2 absorption may be greater in retroperitoneal than transperitoneal laparoscopic radical nephrectomy.

Laparoscopy has many advantages when used to assist surgery. However, pneumothorax, as a rare but potentially life-threatening complication, it requires rapid recognition and treatment. CO2 pneumothorax may be distinct from air pneumothorax. Here we present a case with unexpected large and symptomatic CO2 pneumothorax and treated successfully in a conservative way.

Enhancing postoperative recovery of the donor is important to encourage living kidney donation. We investigated the effects of anesthetic agents (intravenous [IV] propofol versus inhaled [IH] sevoflurane) on the quality of early recovery of healthy living kidney donors after hand-assisted laparoscopic nephrectomy (HALN) under analgesic intrathecal morphine injection.

Epidural analgesia as the effective pain management for abdominal surgery has side effects such as paresthesia, hypotension, hematomas, and impaired motoric of lower limbs. The quadratus lumborum block (QLB) has potential as an abdominal truncal block, however, its analgesic efficacy has never been compared to epidural analgesia on laparoscopic nephrectomy.

Laparoscopic nephrectomy is a preferred technique for living kidney donation. However, positivepressure pneumoperitoneum may have an unfavorable effect on the remaining kidney and other distant organs due to inflamed vascular endothelium and renal tubular cell injury in response to increased systemic inflammation. Early detection of vascular endothelial and renal tubular response is needed to prevent further kidney injury due to increased intraabdominal pressure induced by pneumoperitoneum.

Quadratus lumborum block (QLB) is an effective analgesia that lowers opioid consumption after lower abdominal and hip surgeries. The subcostal approach to transmuscular QLB is a novel technique that can provide postoperative analgesia by blocking more dermatomes. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and viability of subcostal approach to QLB after laparoscopic nephrectomy.

To investigate the impact of biological gender on operative parameters, especially operative time, in laparoscopic partial nephrectomy (LPN) for T1 renal tumor. The operative time of retroperitoneal LPN is significantly correlated with gender, maximum tumor diameter, and retroperitoneal fat tissue thickness.

Renal Cell Carcinoma: Treatment Localized Tumors The standard management for stage I or II tumors and selected cases of stage III disease is radical nephrectomy. This procedure involves en bloc removal of Gerota's fascia and its contents, including the kidney, the ipsilateral adrenal gland, and adjacent hilar lymph nodes. The role of a regional lymphadenectomy is controversial. Extension into the renal vein or inferior vena cava (stage III disease) does not preclude resection even if cardiopulmonary bypass is required.
