To construct an instrument that supports wrist position control according to a number of shooting angles in anteroposterior and lateral position during X-ray examination. Term such as criteria for evaluating wrist X-ray films, current technical status, some concepts about posture have been scientifically researched.

Minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MIS-TLIF) and oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) are widely used in the treatment of lumbar degenerative diseases. In the present study, a metaanalysis was conducted to compare the clinical and radiographic efficacy of these two procedures

Eight cases of long bone fractures of femur and humerus were treated with plate rod construct, whereas, the preoperative anterio- posterior (AP) and lateral radiographs (L) of fractured limb were taken. Diazepam (0.2 mg/kg) was administered intravenously, 10 minutes prior to induction of general anaesthesia with thiopentone sodium (15 mg/kg body weight) followed by maintained with isoflurane (1.5 - 2.0 %). the plate rod construct was applied by craniolateral approach in case of humerus and femur bone in dogs.

This study reports the changing prevalence of ankle (Achilles and plantar) spurs with age, in order to comment on their significance to rheumatologists. 1080 lateral ankle radiographs from each of 9 (50 men and 50 women) age cohorts from 2 to 96 years old of patients attending a trauma clinic were examined and spurs classified as small or large.

Lag screw position is very important in the treatment of intertrochanteric femoral fracture to prevent complications such as screw cut-out. Current studies recommend central or inferior placement of the lag screw on the anteroposterior radiograph, and central placement on the lateral radiographs.

The aims of our study were to evaluate the validation of measurement of weight-bearing lateral radiographs. Two hypotheses were tested: the measurements on the lateral radiographs are reliable, and a theoretical limit could be identified when a surgeon can “eyeball” an incongruous ankle joint on lateral radiographs.

A large critical shoulder angle (CSA) >35° is associated with the development of rotator cuff tearing. Lateral acromioplasty (AP) has the theoretical potential to prevent rotator cuff tearing and/ or to reduce the risk of re-tears after repair.

This study aimed to report the radiographic findings and surgical outcomes of anteromedial facet (AMF) fracture of the ulnar coronoid process and to suggest an optimal approach. Additional proximal ulnar lesions were considered an integral part of varus posteromedial rotatory instability and required further categorization in the management of AMF fractures.

Lateral talar process fractures (LTPF) are often missed on conventional radiographs. A positive V sign is an interruption of the contour of the LTP. It has been suggested, but not proven to be pathognomonic for LTPF. The objective was to study whether the V sign is pathognomonic for LTPF and if it can be properly assessed in different ankle positions and varying fracture types.

Lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) refers to narrowing of the lumbar central spinal canal, lateral recess, and/or neuro-foramina. Radiographic LSS plays an important role in clinical LSS but is not solely accountable for the presence of symptoms.

Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) is the major surgical treatment for end-stage osteoarthritis (OA). Despite its effectiveness, there are about 20% of patients who are dissatisfied with the outcome. Predicting the surgical outcome preoperatively could be beneficial in order to guide clinical decisions.

In the current surgical therapeutic regimen for the degenerative lumbar disease, both oblique lateral interbody fusion (OLIF) and lateral lumbar interbody fusion (LLIF) are gradually accepted. Thus, the objective of this study is to compare the radiographic and clinical outcomes of OLIF and LLIF for the degenerative lumbar disease.

The present study aims to describe the imaging features in incident radiographic patellofemoral osteoarthritis (RPFOA) population in a Chinese suburban area. Methods: The Beijing Shunyi osteoarthritis (BJS) study was a population-based, longitudinal and prospective study. Residents were recruited by randomized cluster sampling in 2014 and were followed 3 years later.

The aim of this study was to compare the reliability and validity of the CARDS and French classification systems for lumbar DS. Methods: Between May 2013 and December 2016, 158 consecutive patients diagnosed with single-level lumbar DS were included in this study, and all underwent lumbar fusion. All patients underwent long-cassette standing anterioposterior and lateral radiographs of the spine preoperatively and postoperatively.

Meniscus injury and meniscectomy both entail increased risk of knee osteoarthritis (OA). Thigh muscle weakness is a suggested mediator of OA but there is little evidence of its importance for knee OA development after meniscectomy. This study aimed to examine the association between thigh muscle strength after partial meniscectomy in middle-aged subjects with a non-traumatic meniscal tear and later radiographic knee OA changes.
