A field experiment was conducted during kharif, 2019 on sandy loam soils of dryland farm of S.V. Agricultural College, Tirupati campus of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. The results of the experiment revealed that among the different intercropping systems, little millet + greengram (4:2) (T6) recorded significantly higher plant height, leaf area index, dry matter production followed by little millet + cowpea (4:2) (T7). Lower values of these growth parameters were recorded with little millet + cluster bean (4:2) (T8).

Twenty six genotypes of cluster bean [Cyamopsis tetragonoloba (L.) Taub] were evaluated to estimate variability, broad sense heritability and genetic advance for pod yield and related attributes, during Rabi 2017. High estimates of GCV and PCV were recorded for number of branches per plant, plant spread at final harvest, fresh pod yield per plant, pod yield per plot, pod yield per hectare, number of pods per cluster, TSS and protein.

A field experiment was conducted during 2017-18 at College of Horticulture, Bengaluru. The experiment was laid out in augmented block design with 72 genotypes and 3 checks. The results revealed that there were significant differences between the genotypes for different morpho-physiological and biochemical traits studied. Among the genotypes the genotype COHBCBC 2 (100%), COHBCBC 16 (56.67cm), COHBCBC M5 (6.20), COHBCBC 6S1 (338.64 cm2 plant-1 ), COHBCBC 15S1(280.96 cm2 g -1 ), COHBCBC 28 (12.

The field experiment was conducted at the Department of Plant Pathology SHUATS during the rabi season, to investigate the “Effect of intercropping on purple blotch (Alternaria porri) of onion (Allium cepa L.)” a legume intercrops evaluated were. Chickpea (Cicer arientinum), pea (Pisum sativum), lentil (Lens esculantum), french bean (Phaseolus vulgaris), cluster bean (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba), the efficacy of the legume intercrops in reducing the foliar disease was compared to a fungicide carbendazim (0.1%).
