An adequate boron amendment ensures not only ample fruit set, but guarantees optimum fruit yield with excellent quality in terms of juice content, ratio between total soluble solids and acidity, and fruit peel colour (Srivastava and Singh 2005). Very little information is available on effect of zinc and boron under agro-climatic conditions of Uttarakhand and no work so far has been done under tarai conditions with the cultivar Pant Prabhat. Therefore, it has become imperative to find out influence of zinc and boron on leaf nutrient status of guava.

Experiment on effect of foliar application of micronutrients (Zn, Fe, B, Mn and Cu) on mandarin orange leaf micro nutrient status was carried out during 2015-16 at lower pulney hills of Tamilnadu, India. The results showed that foliar application of micronutrient alone significantly increased the individual micronutrient content and micronutrients in combination compare to control. Therefore application of micronutrients as foliar spray reduces incidence of deficiency calamities, in turn flourishes the growth and yield attributes subsequently.

Nitrogen plays a pivotal role in fruit tree performance. It is a major constituent of plant cell and plays an important part in the plant metabolism. Considering the marked effect of nitrogen, its application in fruit trees has been investigated by several researches in India as well as in world. Previously, the studies remained confined to fruit yield and tree growth.

In India, among different cultivars of robusta coffee, S.274 has become more popular due to its wide adaptability and its bold beans character. The current field experiment was conducted to know the effect of organics and INM method of nutrition, shade pattern and irrigation schedule on the leaf carbohydrate status and yield of genotype S.274. The carbohydrate economy of the plant is usually regarded as an integrated system of sources and sinks. Present experiment shows that, both organic and INM methods of nutrition had a significant effect on leaf carbohydrates and product.

Foliar fertilization is nutrition through leaves, is a very efficient technique of supplementary fertilization. Foliar nutrition is very important because foliar nutrients facilitate easy and quick consumption of nutrients by penetrating the stomata or leaf cuticle and enters the cells. Foliar fertilization is used as a means of supplying supplemental doses of macro and micro-nutrients, plant hormones, stimulants, and other beneficial substances. It is determined that during crop growth supplementary foliar fertilization increase plants mineral status and improve crop yields.

Aprioct (Prunus armeniaca L.) is the main fruit in Ladakh region. Soil nutrients play a vital role in the growth, development and yield of apricot tree and the information on the nutritional status of an area can go a long way in planning judicious fertilizers and soil management practices to develop economically viable alternatives for the orchardists. Twenty one orchards with uniform age and vigour were selected and surveyed (simple random survey) for the purpose of collection of soil and leaf samples in District Kargil. The soil samples were collected from the three different depths viz.
