. In this study, an investigation was conducted to evaluate the expression of genes encoding SOS1, HKT1, HAK10, and NHX1 transporters in the leaf and root tissues of two contrasting rice cultivars, salt tolerant DP and salt sensitive IR28, under salt stress of 150 mM NaCl by RT-qPCR approach. RT-qPCR data revealed that the expression of HKT1, HAK10, SOS1, and NXH1 were upregulated at a higher level in the DP cultivar than in the IR28 cultivar in response to salt stress treatment.

Results of the histological assessment of the prefrontal cortex reveal normal histology for T0, marked with an intact nucleus, and prominent and organized cells. Tissue architecture for T- reveals the reduction of cells and necrosis. T+ and T1 groups both maintained intact and well-stained nuclei that are comparable with T0. Interestingly, cellular proliferation has been noted for the Z. talanai group, which indicates possible neuronal differentiation. Overall, Z. talanai extract has been observed to exert antinecrotic capacities in the mouse brain.

Activated charcoal (AC) is highly adsorbent and is often used to promote seedling growth in plant tissue culture; however, the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear. In this study, root and leaf tissues of 10-day-old seedlings grown via immature embryo culture in the presence or absence of AC in the culture medium were subjected to global transcriptome analysis by RNA sequencing to provide insights into the effects of AC on seedling growth.

Seed propagation of Mycetia balansae Drake is not easy, due to low germination rate and low viability, so it is very rare in nature. In order to conserve this plant as well as to use for commercial purposes in cooperation with Tue Linh Co.Ltd, providing a large number of plants is necessary and in vitro tissue culture technology could be solve this problem. Therefore, the study on "Callus induction and plant regeneration in vitro from leaf explants of mycetia balansae drake" was carried out.

Currently, different sequencing platforms are used to generate plant genomes and no workflow has been properly developed to optimize time, cost, and assembly quality. We present LeafGo, a complete de novo plant genome workflow, that starts from tissue and produces genomes with modest laboratory and bioinformatic resources in approximately 7 days and using one long-read sequencing technology.

Phalaenopsis is one of the most remarkable commercial genera in Orchidaceae family. Using immature explants for tissue culture of orchid results in undesired characteristics such as genetic variation and long-lasting juvenility. In this study, we optimized a protocol for somatic embryogenesis of Phalaenopsis amabilis cv. Jinan, by using mature thin cell layer (TCL) explants to minimize immature explant limitations. We examined somatic embryogenesis from two types of mature explants, viz.

Recently, boron (B) has been found to form a complex with anthocyanin, which could be evidence for the B tolerance mechanisms that reduce free B in the leaf tissues of plants. However, the molecular mechanism of anthocyanin biosynthesis and transport has not been satisfactorily elucidated in plants exposed to toxic B. Therefore, the changes in expression levels of some of the phenylpropanoid pathway genes, early and late flavonoid biosynthetic genes, and transcription factors related to anthocyanin biosynthesis and transport were determined in Arabidopsis thaliana under B toxicity.

Stevia rebaudiana (Bertoni) is considered one of the most valuable plants because of the steviol glycosides (SGs) that can be extracted from its leaves. Glycosyltransferases (GTs), which can transfer sugar moieties from activated sugar donors onto saccharide and nonsaccharide acceptors, are widely distributed in the genome of S. rebaudiana and play important roles in the synthesis of steviol glycosides.

Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc. is a well-known medicinal plant whose pharmacological effects derive mainly from its stilbenes, anthraquinones, and flavonoids. These compounds accumulate differentially in the root, stem, and leaf; however, the molecular basis of such tissue-specific accumulation remains poorly understood.

A significant mechanism of salt-tolerance in rice is the ability to remove Na+ and Cl− in the leaf sheath, which limits the entry of these toxic ions into the leaf blade. The leaf sheath removes Na+ mainly in the basal parts, and Cl− mainly in the apical parts.

The rate of growth of seedling, the rate of increase of root, shoot, area of the first leaf and the dry weight of the crop plant was faster due to treatment of the seed with whey in comparison to the untreated control. Other parameters may also be incorporated such as increase in the number of cells and biochemical content of the cells, tissue and the whole plant accumulated or stored as a result of chain of synthetic process of which raw material are basically provided by the photosynthesis. Thus the photosynthesis is the key point to make available the raw material for the growth.

The present study aims at identification of green tissue specific genes in Gossypium hirsutum variety, Suraj for promoter isolation and characterization in the future. For this, transcriptome sequencing of three different tissues viz., seed, leaf and boll rind was done. Differential gene expression analysis between seed (non green) and leaf and bollrind (green) tissues was done to identify genes which are highly expressed in green tissues i.e., leaf and boll rind and very low or no expression in non green tissues i.e., seed.

The present study demonstrates a simple and efficient method for callus induction of Bamboo. The leaf, node and seed are used as explants for induction of callus. These explants were subjected to sterilization treatment and it is found that Tween -20, bavistin and ethanol are sufficient for proper sterilization of explants. Then these explants were subjected to various concentrations of growth hormone 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) added in Murashige and Skoog Media. It was concluded that the seeds are suitable explants for rapid induction of callus.
