Lichens flora

Study of lichens flora of Phulchoki showed that this area is rich in the lichen flora. A total of 250 different samples were collected from this area. The identification of collected specimens was done on basis of their morphological, anatomical and inimical studies. The lichens were collected from different altitudinal gradients extending from 1500-2700m. above sea level. The association of lichens with different substrata also studied. A total of 32 species of lichens were identified, which encompass 9 families and 10 genera. Among them family Parmeliaceae was largest.

Seventy-three taxa from Isparta and Burdur provinces were identified. Thirty-eight taxa are new records for Isparta province. Two taxa, Collema cristatum (L.) Weber ex F.H.Wigg. and Squamarina cartilaginea (With.) P.James var. pseudocrassa D.Hawksw., were determined from Burdur province and are new records for Burdur.

A list of 75 lichen taxa is reported from Gürgendagi Mountain located to the north of Kazdagi (Ida Mountain), in Çanakkale province. Among the identified taxa, 41 taxa are epiphytic, 26 saxicolous and 8 terricolous. All of the taxa are new records for the area. Nineteen taxa are new for the province.

Two species of lichenized Ascomycotina, Cyphelium notarisii (Tul.) Blomb. & Forss. and Strangospora moriformis (Ach.) Stein are newly reported for Turkey. Both species were collected from Pinus nigra subsp. pallasiana in Eskiflehir province.

Seventy-three taxa belonging to 27 genera are reported from fiirvan Mountain (Kayseri). All of these taxa are new records for the study area. Of these, 31 taxa are reported for the first time from the province of Kayseri, and 3 taxa, Caloplaca epiphyta Lynge, Lecanora hagenii (Ach.) Ach. var. fallax Hepp and Sarcogyne regularis Körb. var. platycarpoides (Anzi) N.S.Golubk., are new records for Turkey.

The lichen diversity of the Maslak Campus of Istanbul Technical University is presented in this study. In total, 23 lichen species belonging to 14 genera were recorded. Strangospora pinicola (A.Massal.) Körb. is a new record for the Turkish lichen flora and 5 species are new records for Istanbul province.

As a result of lichenological exploration of the Gunib plateau in the Republic of Dagestan (North-East Caucasus, Russia), we report 402 species of lichenised, 37 lichenicolous, and 7 nonlichenised fungi representing 151 genera.
