Formamidinium bromide (FABr) was synthesized by slowly mixing formamidinium acetate powder with hydrobromic acid for synthesizing FAPbBr3. Photoluminescence (PL) of FAPbBr, has been studied, showing a PL peak at 562 nm. Spin-coating method was used to prepare FAPbBr3 thin films and FTO/FAPbBr/FTO sandwich structures. These structures exhibited green luminescence with a center wavelength at 545 nm. The emission centers were observed for single crystals of FAPbBr3 perovskite.

This article examines the electrical and optical characteristics of an MPPC under loosely controlled environmental conditions. We also report a measurement of the light yield captured by the MPPC when a cosmic ray passes through the plastic scintillator, demonstrating that such a setup is suitable as a simple, cost-effective tabletop cosmic ray detector for educational and research purposes.

We report on the achievement of high-efficiency green, yellow, and red InGaN/AlGaN dot-in-a-wire nanowire light-emitting diodes grown on Si(111) by molecular beam epitaxy. The peak emission wavelengths were altered by varying the growth conditions, including the substrate temperature, and In/ Ga flux ratio.

In this paper, the authors report a study on number of layers and thickness of InGaN/AlGaN multiple quantum well (MQW) structure based ultraviolet (UV) light emitting diode (LED) heterostructures with emission at the wavelength within the range from 365nm to 385nm, which has been studied by means of SiLENSe software and drift-diffusion transport equations for electron and hole concentrations.

A green light emitting polymer in a PMMA matrix: oligo(azomethine-ether) with benzothiazole moieties
This study aimed to synthesize an oligo(azomethine-ether) with benzothiazole moiety in organic medium by means of chemical oxidative polycondensation (OP). Optical properties were examined by photoluminescence (PL) and UV-Vis measurements both in solutions and solid film involved a poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) matrix. Oligomer film in the PMMA matrix emitted a fine green light with a fluorescence quantum yield (QY) of 3.30%. Spectral and thermal observations showed a high rate of C–O–C coupling (cross-linking) for the oligomer.

The synthesis, photochromic features, and electrochemistry of a novel material based on dithienylethene (DTE) and 3,3-didecyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-thieno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxepine (didecyl-ProDOT) units are described. It is noteworthy that 1,2-bis(5-(3,3-didecyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-thieno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxepin-6-yl)-2-methylthiophen-3-yl)cyclopent-1-ene can be efficiently switched between open and closed states by light in both solution and in the solid poly(methyl metacrylate) (PMMA) matrix. It is also found that the emission of this novel compound can be switched on and off upon irradiation.

A new host phosphors of LaSr2AlO5 doped with Ce and Eu was synthesized using a solid-state reaction method and the synthesis conditions were investigated. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, photoluminescent (PL) and photoluminescent excitation (PLE) spectra. LaSr2AlO5:Ce shows a yellow emission at about 570 nm after an excitation at about 450 nm while LaSr2AlO5:Eu presents a red emission.
