The investigation was carried out at Department of Plant Pathology, Junagadh Agricultural University, Junagadh. Wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. cumini is a serious disease of cumin. Considering its regular occurrence and economic loss the wilt pathogen was selected for present investigation to generate the informations to find out the resistance of cultivars/lines. Out of fifteen varieties/lines tested one line (JC-2000-9) was found free from disease. The recommended varieties of Gujarat State viz., GC-2, GC-3 and GC-4 were found highly susceptible to F. oxysporum f. sp.

Field screening of F3 generation interspecific tomato hybrids derived lines for resistance to Peanut bud necrosis virus (PBNV) was carried out in the Department of Horticulture, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Tamil Nadu, during 2019-2020. PBNV is the most destructive and economically important plant virus in tomato which causes yield loss up to 80 to 100 per cent. Field experiment was conducted at Research Farm AICRP on Wheat Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur (M.P.) during Rabi season, 2016-17. The experiment consisted of 12 treatment combinations viz. in main plot 2 seed rates (50 and 100 kg/ha at 20 cm) and 3 spacing (15x15, 20x 15 and 20x20 cm dibbling) and whereas sub plot included genotypes (HI 1544, HI 8737). The highest yield was obtained in dibbling 15x15 cm (50.13 q/ha) followed by line sowing @ 20 cm with seed rate of 100 kg/ha (49.54q/ha) but the differences were not significant.

Thirty genotypes of Maize which included twenty eight inbred lines and two checks maintained at D(K)ARS, SKUAST-K were used for the study carried out in the Department of Crop Physiology, University of Agricultural Sciences, GKVK Bangalore. In this programme the genetic variability for Epicuticular Wax Content (EWC) was studied. The data of the experiment revealed a significant genetic variability in epicuticular waxes among the germplasm lines of maize. Accordingly, the EWC ranged from 1.56 (KDM-921A) µg/cm2 to 7.54 (KDM-954) µg/cm2 with a mean of 4.25 µg/cm2 .

Line x Tester analysis was carried out for thirteen diversified parents at the department of Horticulture, Agricultural College and Research Institute, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, to study the combining ability for yield and yield contributing characters in snake gourd. The analysis for combining ability revealed significant mean sum of squares of both general combining ability (GCA) and specific combining ability (SCA) for all the characters which indicate that the presence of both additive and non-additive gene actions.

In developing countries, Tuberculosis is the commonest coinfection to occur in HIV positive patients and is supposed to impact the treatment outcome in patients on antiretroviral therapy. This prospective study was conducted in Department of Microbiology, PGIMS Rohtak to study the effect of coinfection with TB on Virological Failure in patients on first line of Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy. A total of 50 patients on first line of HAART and suffering from Immunological Failure were chosen and were evaluated for Tuberculosis.
