By using the qualitative research methods (interview stakeholders; collect relevant information from secondary documents) and quantitative research method (surveys in 51 cities and regions), the article focuses on five main categories of gaps: policy, awareness, capacity, regulatory and funding.

The study "The effect of thin capitalization, supply chain and earnings management on economy development: Indonesia evidence" aims to examine the effect of thin capitalization, supply chain and earnings management on economy development. The samples used in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2013-2015. Using purposive sampling, selected samples are 90 companies, so the total sample in this study is 270 observations. The examination method employed is the multiple linear regression analysis of panel data.

Concerned by the environmental and economic threats posed by fossil fuels as the source of energy, this study uses the case of Nigeria economy to understand the extent to which economic growth and carbon emissions matters for renewable energy demands. Exploring both the linear and nonlinear ARDL modelling framework, the main empirical findings are that the amplified responsiveness of the consequence of climate change has led to increase in the demand for renewable energy particularly when the underlying source of the emissions is attributable to activities in the transport sector.

The study finds a cointegrating relationship between the variables. The study argues that the country is not experiencing the phenomenon of resource curse as oil rents are not negatively impacting economic growth in the long run. Using non linear ARDL method the study reports a higher rate of growth to a positive shock in oil rents as compare to negative shocks in oil rents. This hints at the resilience of the country as the country’s growth rate is less effected with the fall in oil rents. It is also assumed that mere rent seeking economies tend to have poor quality of institutions.

The debate on the nexus between energy consumption and economic growth continues unabated with divergent views on the direction of the relationship. This is partly due to the sources and patterns of energy consumption across different countries, differential characteristics of the economies, and differences in the methodologies employed. In this study, long-term relationship between Turkey and G8 countries which represent 65% of the world economy is examined by Kapetanios (2002) unit root test and Maki (2012) cointegration test that allow more than two breaks and structural breaks can be determined as endogenous. Furthermore, before unit root and cointegration tests, all series are concluded as linear by Harvey et al. (2008) linearity test.
